If you are looking for a really healthy and fresh place to go, this one takes the cake. It’s a new spot near a local favorite Hacienda San Pedro, that specializes in juice. Now, it’s not just any juice. It’s a Mixologist-​type place, where different fresh juices from fruits and vegetables are combined for a healthy, refreshing, and accomplishing beverage. Great place to get a middle of the day drink, before or after lunch. If you are looking for food, they prepare a short menu at the moment, but everything is fresh and great. The avocado toast place with a hard-​boiled egg is a great light lunch, paired with a soup of the day or a salad. They are still setting up the future expanded menu and smoothie options, but check them out now before they get really popular!

Getting back to basics can be a great thing. Basico is a great example of that. Their food is uncomplicated, straight forward and simply delicious. Who knew nutritious food could taste so good. Hats off to the chef. Their juice bar is an experience in juice alchemy. Whether you are craving a refreshing juice to beat the heat or a juice to curb an ailment, Roy and Joanne will serve it up with a smile on their faces. Very fresh juices with interesting and delicious combinations. We stopped by after a visit to the contemporary art museum, and were greeted by friendly staff with great recommendations for menu offerings, and the neighborhood. We tried a fruity, citrusy option (#4) and a more savory juice (#7). The Thai noodles and veggie and cheese salad made for a tasty and healthful lunch.

Although just starting their first official week after their soft opening, this locally-​owned juice bar and vegetarian lunch spot has already proven they are here to stay. With a great location in a hip and safe area, Basico already leading the area in responsible business practices with compost pick up and all biodegradable take away materials.
My first two times here I tried their creative and über healthy juice combos that fuse super foods, local produce, and kombucha teas. Both of my visits left me energized and wondering what I would try next.
My third time here I purposely came hungry to check out the menu. Being a hardcore vegan I tend I be hardcore to please — but Basico nailed it. An order of Thai noodles and a refreshing juice combo left me floating back to work. I can’t wait to see what I order tomorrow!
