Since this is a first review, Unilocal may not be mapping this place correctly.(This place doesn’t actually have an address on the storefront. I made up the address of «175 Calle Providencia» since it maps closest to the actual location. The approximate GPS coordinates I’m getting are 18.447690, –66.47525.) It’s located on Calle Providencia, which becomes Avenida Las Américas when you go a block further north. This is located just north of highway PR-26, and is on the east side of the street. There’s not much else around it, so it’s not hard to find. The area looks a little rough, so maybe just go here during the day, and bring your car(if you have one). This definitely isn’t a place for tourists. It does stay busy throughout the day with lots of local Puerto Ricans. We ordered a half chicken($ 4.55) and a mofongo($ 3.00) to split between the two of us, as an early lighter lunch. It was by far the cheapest meal we had during our time in PR. The chicken was nicely roasted. The mofongo was moist and so deliciously fragrant with garlic. If you want to have garlic burps/breath six hours later, this is the place for you. Mmm.(Or just get some mints…) This is the perfect place if you are craving some local authentic Puerto Rican food from a greasy hole-in-the-wall diner.
