Great pub with fantastic food. Wine is available now — although Red can sometimes be served a little too cool. Great food with great service. Recommended!

The only pub in the village, and really it is in the wrong place. It is on the main road, but a bit far to be a true village pub.
It’s an easy place to meet, and the current landlord is really making improvements — heater outside, quiz machine, and food I have heard good things about. There is also a range of theme nights, including music, quiz and special occasions.
I had the odd experience of trying to order a bottle of red wine to be told they had none, only by the glass. Although this struck me as odd for a pub that takes pride in its food, they soon came up with a carafe, and all was well.
If you are travelling up the A15, and need dinner, I’d give this place a look in.
