Specialties

We’re known for our handmade sushi, the authenticity of our hot Japanese dishes, and the sustainability of our fish, for which we have won a brace of prestigious national and international awards. We are also known for the best membership scheme in town. If you don’t believe us, come and visit us for our 50% MOSHIMO Mondays and now Tuesdays Too.

History

Established in 2000.

Brighton’s original conveyor-belt sushi bar, Moshimo quickly become the city’s premier Japanese restaurant and has remained thus ever since. Moshimo customers are fiercely loyal, with 60% of them dining at least once a month; many eat at the restaurant two or three times a week.

Moshimo runs an extremely popular membership scheme which gives members 50% off the food bill on Mondays and Tuesdays. Due to the popularity of 50% Moshimo Madness, bookings are not available on those days before 9pm (8.30pm in winter)

In 2010, Moshimo won the prestigious PETA award for its promotion of vegan and vegetarian food, and it has won a number of international awards for its promotion of sustainable fish.

Over the last five years, Moshimo has used its profits to promote FISHLOVE, a photographic campaign featuring celebrated individuals that is widely regarded as one of the most potent weapons in the campaign to end destructive fishing practices (www.fishlove.co.uk).
