Business Owner
James began his career as a chef in the 1980’s training in London with the famous Roux Brothers.
«I started my career training in a three star Michelin environment where there were no compromises; food was perfect or not served. I have incorporated those standards into my style of cooking. Perfect, traditional English pub food, served in a relaxed environment.
My first employers were my early inspirations, the Roux brothers and their first English apprentice, Rowley Leigh, who taught me to respect my ingredients, love my food and enjoy my cooking. The people who inspire me now are those chefs who share that same passion and have the courage to go out into the world and work hard to maintain excellence and high standards.»
Later, James worked as Head Chef for the Cottage Inns in Ascot cooking for customers such as Tom Cruise, Prince Andrew, Princess Margaret, Michael Parkinson to name but a few! After ten very rewarding years he set up his own restaurant «Jamieson’s» in Berkshire whic
