Forrest Hill University of Edinburgh Building

Set quite a bit back from the busy Forrest Road, the Forrest Hill Building is one of the best kept secrets at the University of Edinburgh.
Unknown to thousands of first and second year students this student is bliss for older students who want some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of George Square.
The building is spread over six floors and has many rooms which can accommodate tutorials. Even though at first it takes forever to find the building, then the actual room, it is a great environment to have a tutorial as it is quiet and you will not get disturbed. On top of this, since many of the rooms are not fully booked out, many students come and use them for some quiet study space. I have done that quite a few times and no one has bothered me and the staff are fine with it.
Furthermore, the building is home to Transition, a group which raises awareness of environmental issues such as low carbon living.
A great building and one, which is unknown to most. So please, let’s keep it that way!
