Wandering round a city as blessed with as many great independent food outlets at Edinburgh can make you hungry. And I love a good pasty. To be fair, I love most food, but there’s nothing like a good pasty for lunch. Given the crap they sell in big chain pasty shops I thought I’d give this place a try. I know they have another shop in Edinburgh and a few more round Scotland but it’s still a relatively small business. It shows. The pasty selection was a bit poor — no chicken, but bacon and cheese?! Go figure. That’s what I went for anyway. And, for what it’s worth, it was pretty tasty, if a little overpriced at £1.20. The focus seemed to be on Scottish delicacies. Stovies, bridies, Scotch pies etc. Maybe I’m just too English, darling. I doubt I’ll be back though.
