The products are nice, I went in to get a conditioner for my hair for which I had previously tried a sample and was pretty impressed with. I often struggle to find products that work for my fine frizzy hair. The staff are very nice and friendly and it would be a good experience if it wasn’t for the pushy sales technique. I spent £19 on conditioner and the sales assistant wanted me to get the shampoo at another £16 and the leave in treatment at who-knows how much! I think £19 is plenty enough for one day! Your purchase is packaged in a clear reusable zip pouch, perfect for air travel and they are generous with samples.

I have terrrrrrrrrrible skin. Awful. the worst. The wind just has to think about blowing and my skin tightens in anticipation. For this reason I drink huge amounts of water and do mad things like only use honey to wash my face. However, little gets solved and I still can’t wear foundation for longer than 20 minutes — a real world problem for Ms. Tomatoface here. So, I just went in to Kiehl’s for a consultation and I came out a very happy camper. The lady listened to my every concern, treated me to what was basically a mini facial while she explained the active ingredients in each product. Although some of the science was a bit dubious(though, with anything beauty related it always is). I had the same problem as Anita A did in Rayan’s review — I was wearing moisturiser so the skin test wasn’t accurate — but I explained this to the lady and she adjusted her recommendations appropriately. At the end I had six products recommended to me, which were written down in a leaflet for me to take home, with stars next to those she felt were a priority for quickest results, and I was given a bunch of samples(she even sneakily told me how to make the samples last a wee bit longer so, score!) Overall it was a lovely visit. I’m really happy with the recommendation and right now my skin feels wonderful!

I use moisturisers. There I am out. I have used plenty of these products over the years. And here is a shop specialising in all areas of body lotions, face creams, retinol based eye treatments and pharmaceutical grade lotions. The shop is bright and looks like a mix of a beauty salon, dentist and a pharmacy. Many white and mint colours. Mirrors everywhere and fresh faced shop assistants in white labcoats Anita A and I were snooping around until we got a very nice girl offering her a 5 min consultation with the promise of 5 samples that could be used for a couple of days. So she went fo this, but because Anita already used moisturiser before entering into the shop the test for skin type and condition showed up as ‘oily’ on all parts. So I think this was a bit flawed. Also the lifting of the cheek and showing of the lines is a great sales technique. Afterwards she duly supplied Anita with the available oil free samples — however some were not available and those were replaced. I did asked about the male range and she informed me that they were the first company to supply a dedicated male grooming range. Prices are not cheap, but reasonably affordable as they supply larger quantities. However a dark eye treatment for men 15ml was billed at £25. I’m not that desperate yet. 3 Stars from me as they didn’t really feel any different than other skin care products. Also I wasn’t offered a consultation.
