It’s a Loch Fyne, so it’s a chain. That said, in the Summer they tables in the market place — so great for an evening drink on the rare occasion the sun deigns to appear. Food is so so, but staff are good. Be prepared for the five mile hike to the loos.

Loch Fyne is just an ok restaurant, apparently one of a small chain. The service was excellent but the food was pretty average and the portions weren’t over-generous. You can do better, much better in the area and I’d suggest a three mile or so drive to the north where a new restaurant, cum deli, cum pub called The Quince Tree can be found in Stonor. I had two meals there on this trip and both the food and the service were impeccable both times. England in firmly in recession but people will still pay for exceptional restaurants, the others, not so much.

Loch Fyne is the best restaurant that I’ve found on my trips to Henley. It might be a problem if you don’t like fish, but that’s not a problem for me and I’ve never had a bad meal here. Once you go inside, you’ll discover that the restaurant is bigger than you’d expect. Service has always been excellent, just like the food.
