The Argyll is a popular Henley market place pub, we are informal and open all day, serving traditional Ales, wines and great British home cooked pub food. Meals available until 9.30pm Monday to Sunday. We attract a wide range of customers from local business people, international tourists, day trippers, locals and shoppers.

Henley on Thames is a medieval town dating back to the 11th century with lots to see and do for all the family.

We have a patio area and parking at the rear of the pub.

Decided to stop by a local for a proper meal and a sit down for a bit before heading to the Henley Royal Regatta event. We chose this as it had a patio at the back and was very dog friendly. The day was pretty hot (29C!), so it was good they had shaded tables in the patio. Interiors looked nice. Service was very good, the staff were really friendly, price of alcohol was expected, food portion was generous — we all ordered the lamb shank, which was served with mash and veg. The lamb shank was average compared compared to others I’ve tried, and for lunch, it was quite expensive. However, being in the location that it was, I’m not surprised. Overall, recommended for those who have dogs — many patrons brought theirs, and were obviously regulars to the the pub.

Decent pub, good selection of real ales. One of the better Green King pubs, worth a look but not a special trip.

Been a couple of times recently. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Sunday roast was great and quite relaxed to take the children for lunch. It used to be my favourite pub in Henley and I would consider it now.

Decent run boozer with a menu — although it’s really over-​priced. £10 for an (average) burger and chips? Not for me, thanks.
The beer is fine with a reasonable selection of guest ales in the winter, but again, well over priced, £3.60 for a pint of larger? Premium prices at an average pub. I must be in the wrong game.
Staff are quite good, even if the landlord does look like uncle fester from the adams family. I find his side kick a bit of a pain though. I get the idea that the staff here try too hard.
This pub dosent really have locals, it has customers, know what i mean?
This is the sort of pub that i drink in when i just want to be alone with a newspaper.
