Specialties
Champany Inn is dedicated to Scotch beef and grilling the finest steaks. Scottish beef is selected and delivered to Champany «on the side» before being prepared by our in-house butcher. Our butcher cuts Sirloin, Ribeye, Popeseye and T-Bone steaks for the restaurants, in addition to making our homemade hamburgers and sausages for The Chop and Ale House.
The Restaurant menu consists of — in addition to the above — a gigantic porterhouse and a more elegant chateaubriand for two with béarnaise sauce. Although primarily specialising in beef, the Restaurant offers Shetland salmon served hot smoked, cold smoked or simply charcoal grilled. Other Scottish produce includes Dornoch lamb, oysters and lobsters from the west coast of Scotland. Vegetarian options are always available.
The Chop and Ale House has a more informal menu listing the steaks as above but in addition hamburgers with various toppings including home smoked bacon, creamy peppercorn sauce and the Champany Burger.
History
Established in 1983.
Clive and Anne Davidson established Champany Inn three decades ago. It now consists of the Restaurant, a fine dining establishment, the more informal Chop and Ale House, sixteen bedrooms and a wine shop.
