l have had some good bargains in menswear there but the store looks seriously outdated now, inside and out.

BHS(British Home Stores) is a well-established shop located along Lord Street. I used to always go here, normally to buy school clothes when I was younger. If there was anywhere else to buy school clothes(for example, M&S), they would usually be more expensive than here. Having said that, BHS is not still not a cheap store nor is it overly expensive but they do stock a wide range of good quality clothing and fancy gifts. I haven’t shopped at BHS since I was about 15(thats a long time ago)! Why you might ask? Well, firstly I’m not a crazy shopper of clothes and secondly there is Primark down the street!

Shopping at this BHS was a frankly pitiful experience. There is no order or sense of direction to the shop floor and the staff are generally uninterested in whats going on around them, let alone to answer a customer query. The products on offer are not really worth the money you’d have to part with to own them, BHS offers neither bargains or high end purchases and hovers somewhere in the middle. Unless your buying school clothes from here(which seems to be the only thing they can manage well) I would head elsewhere.

Modern living made easy. It doesn’t matter what clever slogans or straplines they use, Bhs remains Britain’s frumpiest department store. Whilst Debenhams and John Lewis have managed to stay contemporary by stocking a mix of high street and designer fashion concessions, Bhs remains a sea of lifeless cardigans, tunic tops, floral blouses, bad jeans, trousers and fleeces. The one good thing this new Liverpool branch has going for it is the vast range of homeware. Of course, there’s some old fashioned and traditional chintz for their established clientele but they also have some decent contemporary stuff for reasonable prices. In the furniture department, there’s a gorgeous floral chaise longue, some great oak dining tables and chairs, decorative mirrors, glassware, white china kitchenware, electronics, bedding and home décor. My tip would be to check out the glass dome ceiling lights — which at £20 each are probably cheaper than Ikea!

BHS is located on Lord Street and sells a wide range of clothing, men, women and childrens, of their own brands aswell as Dorothy Perkins. They also have a large upstairs homewares department, a wedding department, a coffee shop at the front of the store selling sandwiches to go with an outdoor seating area and a larger café to the rear selling sandwiches and hot food. Set over two floors its a large branch, easy to get around and sells quality at good prices. Staff are helpful and willing to assist. Around Christmas time they have a great gift department downstairs.

This is a great BHS Store it is a good size one and stocks mens, ladies, childrens, wedding, homewares and a restaurant. It is great to go around Christmas time as the Christmas shop is great and has great gift ideas. They also have a Dorothy Perkins within this shop. The wedding section is great as is the Childrens Section. The café is big and you go out of the backdoor across the road into a separate entrance for the café. It is not badly priced and the food is o.k.
