Cloudy Bay… the name to those who know it evokes a luxury wine brand carrying the standard for Sauvignon Blanc(although they produce several other varietals). The brand has now taken over/sponsors a bar sitting in the Second Tier box ring of this gorgeous venue. The bar’s atmosphere is pleasant enough: a sleek, minimalist vibe offering white cushy bar stools, some tables, awaiting your posh bum for drinks before a show or during the interval. They offer several small seafood plates and food boards which are all served beautifully and the quality excellent, although the portions are not generous by any means. I expect the food and drink to be a bit overpriced in any London venue. However I believe £9.50 for a 125ml glass of their Sauvignon Blanc is slightly excessive. Personally I prefer the Moet Champagne Bar on the floor below. But hey, it’s the Royal Albert Hall and if you want luxury, here it is. And it beats the crap out of the crowded bar on the upper tier.
