In desperate need for a new sandwich place on a rare visit to my London HQ on Chancery Lane, a couple of workmates and I wandered into Coopers at lunchtime. There’s a wide choice a sandwich fillings here as well as options for bread/baguettes/rolls. I chose a 6″ barm cake with chicken, bacon, avocado, cucumber and lettuce which ended up being massive and it was only £3.75. I didn’t need to buy anything else and it was deliciously fresh tasting. With plenty of staff behind the counter, service was efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Take away sambo place. Good — but not great — sambos. Not any BLT or anything. But good, cheap, filling food. what you want, when Leather Lane is just too much.

Take-away only. Great place to pick up a snack in the morning. Has had the same staff for years, always a smile. The standard of grub is consistently good, and reasonably priced for the City: £2.20 at the time of writing for a bacon sarnie. They usually have Irn Bru in as well, which is a bonus if you’re suffering from the night before.
