Customer service definitely lacks for this establishment. A dark-haired guy(server) who was working at the time obviously ignored our presence and when he was approached as if we were a nuisance to him. Being new to St Pancras and London(our 1st visit) we weren’t sure how they operated so we sat down at one of the outside tables. He saw us but never offered any assistance. I proceeded to get his attention by going to the bar and he told me he’d be at our table on a couple of minutes… 25 minutes have passed and he was nowhere to be found. It was apparent that his intentions was to ignore us. This experience left a bad taste as it was our last service encounter in the city of London. Perception plays a huge part and that server made it obvious that he was either being prejudice or just was not very happy with the job he was doing. What a shame :(

Absolutely atrocious! I was at St Pancras station, with a craving for cheese, so I popped in and bought one of their chees platters and a glass of wine. The wine was OK, if nothing special. The cheese, on the other hand, appeared to have come straight out of a freezer. There was even some(previously) soft goats cheese which had melted a little out of shape, but was now so cold as to be rock hard. If it had been some cheap place then I could almost forgive them, but the fact is the platter cost around £8. The previous week I had paid only 50p more for a cheese plate in a Michelin-starred restaurant, and each cheese came delivered at exactly the right temperature. The difference could not be starker. Des Vins is just another cynical establishment which puts all its energy into making the décor look stylish and modern(so they can lure in some of the captive eaters waiting at St Pancras station) and doesn’t actually care about the stuff they sell, as long as they can charge a premium for it. Avoid at all costs!
