Great place to sit in the sun, as chance and weather will have, and have a bite and enjoy the surroundings. Fresh ingredients, well prepared and delicious to eat. The soups here are really good, and the selection is very clever, some modern twists on classics. The sandwiches are very good, and the selection is very good as well. The staff for the most part are friendly and helpful. And the view on a nice day is great.

I’m a fussy foodie that would rather eat protein bars on a flight from London to Boston than airport fast food or the in-flight«carbage» that the airlines serve. I picked up two salads from EAT at Heathrow(Rainbow, and Superfood) and was blown away by the quality and innovation of these items from a chain operation. Fresh, healthy, creative, inexpensive – and very tasty.

Talk about FRESH! Yes, this is a chain. But who cares if the food is made of quality, fresh ingredients + it’s made daily! EAT is constantly changing/offering new things on their menu so I’m not sure if they are still offering these items on their menu! {ORDER} * Chicken Pie with gravy — a modern twist version of pot pie. It’s really savory, reminds of Southern cooking, and oh-so-good! * Tortilla Soup — another modern twist version of the tradition tortilla soup. * Non-fat vanilla latte — very fragrant and delicious! Next time, I want to try their phở soup! {ENVIRONMENT} *Come here if you want a quick meal or want«takeaway». It’s always packed but you can always find a seat. I also love their branding and packaging. It’s so clean and FRESH :)

I LOVEEAT! We didn’t try it until the later part of our trip and I really wish we would have done it sooner. I loved the sandwiches. My absolute favorite was a chicken aioli sandwich they had. They’re super nice. We even got to sample a new cake they were making in the back!

Ugh. Not impressed. Food was dry and just blah. Pret is much better. I wish someone had warned me not to eat here!

EATing at EAT is never a hit-or-miss…I recently came back from a trip to London and this place captures the essence of healthy eating, with Asian cuisine, but not neglecting the oh-so-European late’s and English desserts. Give it a try, you’ll find it everywhere, including Heathrow.

Biggest appeal at Eat is the warm soups… I am a big fan of soup and sandwich and EAT scratches that itch for a cheapie lunch. As Arabella mentioned its not the most exciting of sandwich places but slightly cheaper than a Pret.

EAT, to my mind at least, has always been Pret’s poorer cousin. The branding is a bit drab, the food mediocre, the free range/organic angle so old that Kerry Katona will likely soon be endorsing it. If there were ever an EAT to confound the critics however, this would be it. Located at the foot of the Oxo Tower along London’s South Bank, this branch of EAT is spacious, replete with outdoor seating and very, very popular. The coffee — much like the food — is ok. To EAT’s credit there is a good range of sandwiches, soups and salads. It’s just lacking some of the charisma of its high street competitors.
