Shocking service. 45 minutes for a croque monsieur to get to us– but after an hour and a half — our coffees never arrived. And neither did an apology. Avoid. Plenty other choices in the square

Yum! I’m gradually hitting every Patisserie Valerie in town. I love this area around Sloane Square which makes it a nice spot for lunch. It’s also great during the week as it’s not nearly as crowded as the one in Soho. The staff were lovely, the smoked salmon was delicious– and they happily obliged when I requested capers. Most importantly– the cakes and pastries were perfect, as always. And good to note– they are offering pumpkin and pecan pies for Thanksgiving! Highly recommend any of the Patisserie Valerie’s around town.

My husband and I have breakfast here about twice a month — it is very close to our flat. He loves it, I don’t dislike it. The selection is rather small, the scrambled eggs are never quite cooked enough, and the crispy bacon, well, it just tastes weird.. . The manager is super nice and tries his best, but they never seem to have enough servers. Everyone is working hard but we always have to flag someone down to put in our order or get the check. In the summer, and any other time the sun is out, they have lots of tables outside. Since it is one of the few places with such great outdoor seating that also means you will probably have to wait for a table. The cakes here are very good and is our go-to place for birthday cakes — you do generally have to order them at least a day ahead of time.

Patisserie Valerie origins by a Belgium Lady called Valerie, Belgium’s are known for their best chocolate, not so much the ice cream. Patisserie Valerie stretched out to the Italian Gelateria. On Duke of York Square they have built an authentic ice-cream parlour to celebrate Italians Gelato! In winter it is a bit weird, who wants a cold ice cream at Christmas, sitting in a parlour which looks like an ice cube bar itself. In summer though the Chelsea crowd who do not make it further then King’s Road like to sit on the Duke of York Square, eating their Patisserie Valerie ice cream and listing to live music. The Duke of York Square is quite lively then, little kids are running through the water of a modern fountain and there are various seating areas to chill out. The Gelateria has no more space then for 18 – 20 people, but the parlour is more of an ice cream bar where you order and sit outside. Its definitely fun for young children.
