We have concessions of the Old Post Office Bakery, Waterloo Wine and the Ginger Pig Butchers. Selling loose fresh fruit and veg lovingly selected by Solstice at New Covent Garden. Brought together daily in our kitchen for you to take away or eat in. Plus all the basics and dried goods from baked beans to baking powder.
History
Established in 2008.
Chris Smith set up the shop after having lived two streets away for the last forty years, raising two children and always wanting somewhere selling affordable quality real food on his local high street — Lower Marsh. We know a lot of the people on the street because they’re our community and we like to meet the new comers; seeing friendly faces makes the day. We hope to offer of traditional shop service — sliced meats, loose fruit and veg and specialist staff.

Irene B.
Manager
Born in Tuscany Irene grew up surrounded by her family’s vineyards and olive groves and eating proper Italian food. She’s always had a passion for food but nearly got diverted by translation — she speaks four languages!
If she’s not at work you’ll find her obsessively trailing coffee shops across London and sampling delights at food markets. Luckily lots of cycling works up an appetite.
Irene’s family olive oil is sold in Greensmiths and you can try her tiramisu recipe in the shop as well.
