History

Established in 2005.

Hammer lab has been established since 2005.

Michael has been in the photographic industry from a young age starting in the cupboard at home to working with some of the most sucessful working photographers of today in the UK. Producing exhibitions, portfolio’s and editorial fashion storeys’.

Michael has vast amount of knowledge and a very re-​fined eye, he is a perfectionist and will get the best out of an image.

Michael Mckenzie mainly works by appointment basis, to produce a bespoke service.

Photographers and artists are welcome to come in with their images for a consultation of the finish and reproduction they have in mind.

Hammer Lab strives to keep the classic techniques of shooting with film going and combining them with the digital age. To encourage the use of photographic film we make our prices as reasonable as possible whilst retaining the highest possible standards

The Hammer does do a walk in service where you can drop film to be developed and whole roll edit scanning.

Michael has worked in the photographic industry since the age of 15 years old.

He has a natural talent a superb eye for detail and colour. Michael is self taught and has been working for himself since the age of 18 years old.

His vast talent and knowledge has held in in good stead to have an successful business. Clients come the door mainly through word of mouth.

Michael as is highly respected within the photographic field, is passionate about his work and always gives clients a bespoke service.
