Lush

Compared to other Lush stores that I’ve been to in scotland, this must be one of the smallest outlets that I’ve been to in a long time.
Even though it may be one of the smallest it did have what I was looking for, I noticed that it took me less than five minutes to walk around the shop, and choose the items that I required.
An ok shop if you are looking for something simple, anything more or unusual you may
Have to go to a bigger outlet.

This is the best shop for cosmetic products! They have soo many stuff that it’s better to not go in with too much money because you can find yourself spending them all for different shampoos, jellies, soaps, masks, creams and etc. They even have more than you can imagine. Their products are great presents. You never mind having another Lush product.

The lazy man’s fast Christmas option for female friends used to be a gift from the Body Shop but I think that the Body Shop no longer carrries the same cachet
Lush on the other hand does offer a range of bath, body and beaity products, which has taken over that consumer market space. Their stores so smell amazing and this branch in Wimbledon is no exception. The staff do also sometimes stand outside with samples to try.
My main fear is that with fresh fruits and essential oils giving zingy and zesty notes to a lot of their products, the gift recipients may be tempted to eat some of the products!

I first discovered Lush early last year when I got given one of their gift sets for Christmas and since then I’ve visited Lush stores in the UK, Canada and the USA. For those unfamiliar with the brand, let me first tell you a few things about this wonderful company. I’m an absolute Lush addict and I absolutely insist that anything that touches my sensitive skin (except for my makeup) must be produced by Lush. This is easy enough to achieve as this company make EVERYTHING you’ll ever need like soaps, shower gels, shaving cream, moisturisers, lip balms, bath bombs, bubble bath, massage bars, shampoos, conditioners… you name it — they make it. It’s all hand made from 100% natural, ethically sourced ingredients and sold in recyclable containers. It’s also all vegetarian and in many cases vegan friendly. The company philosophy is that the words ‘fresh’ and ‘organic’ should be words that have meaning beyond marketing and that a natural approach to skincare is far better for you than assaulting your skin with the kinds of chemicals that can be found in other, more commercial products. Trust me, it works like a charm — my skin has never looked or felt better!
Without a doubt, my favourite branch of Lush has to be Wimbledon. This store stock the same products as every other Lush you’ve ever been in but the reason it ranks higher than any of the others is purely because of how absolutely wonderful all the ladies are who work there. They are all so incredibly friendly and they really know their stuff! They dispense wonderful advice and can pick out products that they know you’ll absolutely love. For example, on one occasion I went in and told one of the ladies that I was looking for the perfect exfoliator and she took her time and showed me all of the exfoliators they had, gave me a rundown of what ingredients were in them and what properties each of those ingredients had and eventually matched me with a GORGEOUS concoction (named ‘Angels On Bare Skin’) which I honestly can’t live without now. The same wonderful lady also advised me on which shampoo/​conditioner combo would be best for my hair type and again, I was so pleased with the results I’ll never use anything else again for as long as I live. No matter how busy the shop gets (and it does get very busy sometimes) they always take the time to talk to you and advise you properly — you know they’re not just trying to fob you off with the most expensive product or make you buy more than you need. On another occasion (just yesterday in fact) I went to Lush to stock up on a cream (‘Dream Cream’) and solid soap (‘Fresh Farmacy’) that has worked miracles for my fiancé’s eczema and I told the lady about this. She then told me that if he has problem skin, then he could really do with a soothing shaving cream and sent me away with a free sample of one that she thought would be perfect for him! That’s the other wonderful thing about this particular Lush branch — the samples. I’m aware that a lot of branches of Lush hand out free samples of other products with purchases but in my experience, the assistant will just throw a few things in the bag and that will be the end of it. At Wimbledon, the same quality of service and advice even extends to things you’re not paying for! Every time I’ve got my free samples, the lady will tell me in detail what each thing does and how to use it and what’s in it. They’re also very generously sized samples too as I find that with a lot of Lush products, a little goes a very long way! Also, (and this is a company-​wide thing, not exclusive to Wimbledon) if you bring back 5 empty Lush pots, then you get a free face mask which are heavenly and I recommend that everyone try them.
The ONLY downside to this particular branch (and they only reason I haven’t given it a full 5 stars) is due to it’s size. It’s a teeny tiny little store which can get very crowded at times which means that I have to plan my visits there very carefully because I get extremely anxious when it comes to confined spaces! The store is also split-​level with 3 or 4 steps leading up to the section where all the REALLY fun stuff like the shower jellies and bubble bars are, which would be a real shame for any wheelchair-​bound customers (providing they could even get into such a tiny store in the first place!) However, when it’s practically empty such as it is on weekday mornings, it’s an absolute pleasure to go there and have a wander around at your leisure, smelling everything!
So, in summary; this is an unfortunately small store but with a GREAT selection of products as all Lush branches do. However, no other Lush branch in the world has had staff quite as wonderful and dedicated as this one in my experience.

Oh that smellit is just so soapy. Seriously I didnt think I would be more than just a passing fan of that smell until my mother told me there was a product she really wanted from Lush and I returned home with it from the Wimbledon branch I have smelt and seen many times before.
A very compact store, it seemed to hold about 12 people including one in a wheelchair which was a bit of a minor miriacle in hindsight. It was not easy finding the product I was looking for, but a member of the staff saw me looking lost imongst soap and was kind, friendly and helpful.
She immediately gift wrapped the items and made me a priorty in the tills, which I loved because with the hangover I had, the smell had become nauseas. I was able to pay by card and very much enjoyed my shopping experience here. I might be back fairly soon.

Good Lush store with all the favourite smells and potions there. The staff are particularly good (as with all Lush shops) and are always happy to explain the products and also recommend things if you have specific needs. The products are all made from fresh ingredients and some (face packs etc) need to be kept in the fridge when you get home.

Nice chilled place. Bit expensive but nice and airy. staff are ok and attentive and doesnt get too busy like other branches. The smell can make you feel a bit quesy after a while but loads funky bath bombs!

Quite far out of the main city but a stone’s throw away from the tube stop.
It’s a simple store with lots of smelly (in a good way) treats.
They’ll happily explain the ingredients of their products and allow little samples if you are unsure.
They package their products proudly with recyclable materials and use popcorn as a natural way to secure the safety of items in the boxes of gifts.

Anyone who’s ever taken a right out of the shopping centre end of Wimbledon station knows that amazing smell that radiates from Lush. In their description, the word ‘lush’ becomes quite a mouthful: they are a unisex, vegan, environmentally-​friendly cream, soap and shampoo store with a difference. Most of their cleansing and skin cream products are hand-​made or mixed, and they have a special focus on giving to charity, in fact proceeds are generated with almost every purchase.
They also have a very fragrant selection of fizzy bath balls that look good enough to be eaten in the company of a chocolate fondue, though I wouldn’t try this at home. Some products are new takes on the tried and trusted: I found something called a ‘shampoo bar’ there. Ingredients for everything apparently come from renewable resources too, so for some this could be a good example for guilt-​free shopping. The staff members are capable, enthusiastic and friendly. Chaps: this is a brilliant place to get something for the Mrs.

Lush is one of those shops that make you want to jump in the bath and be a princess for half an hour. Bubble bath, bath bombs, soaps, balms, melts, jellies, body butters, just everything!
All the products are fresh and handmade and almost good enough to eat, although the smell in this shop is so scrummy that you will be tempted to try!
This shop the place to go for a perfect gift for your boss, mum or friend when you only have a few minutes to spare. What is great as well is that some sets come pre-​gift wrapt, Which relates to their slogan never too busy to be beautiful. Genius.
Prices are very affordable, a bath bomb is £2-£3 and bubble bath is around £10.
But here is the best bit. they are against animal testing.

The smell grabs you down the street and pulls you into the shop. Soaps and bubbles and washes and sprays in every wonderful scent and texture you can imagine, Lush spoils all your senses.
An organic beauty products shop, all the products are made from organic products and packaged in an environmentally friendly way. Real thought goes into the service in the stores to ensure each customer walks out with the product best suited to them.
Even if you pick the wrong thing when you sink back into the bath and allow the scent to overcome you and the cream to relax you, you will enjoy every moment!
The store in Wimbledon is compact but still carries the entire range. The staff is some of the most knowledgeable and friendly I have come across in any of their stores across London. And if you get the day right you may be in for a free foot rub which after a tiring day shopping is bliss!
