Inviting interior and location. Seems clean. Food… Downright meh to below average. Had the recommended pizza… The crust was tasteless and tough, and the meats seemed old. My guess is they make most of their money on tourist, non-return business. Put it this way… Would not return except maybe for a drink after 5pm when they dim the lights and bring out the candles.

This branch was much better than the one on Glasshouse Street. The service was slow and abrupt(male manager) due to the shortage of the staff. Calamari was all stuck together and the Crab Cakes was mushy. Seabass was cooked beautifully; the skin was crisp and the mash was flavourful. Chicken Milanese was golden brown and was very tasty. The spaghetti which accompanied the chicken was perfectly cooked. Tiramisu was flawless. It had a wonderful coffee flavour and wasn’t too sweet. However Blood Orange Polenta Cake was soggy, too sweet and undercooked and grainy. The place was very busy and I would not recommend it for a leisurely lunch.

This place was terrible. We tried to use a voucher — Manager in charge denied us. He also gave us the look of disgust for even trying. Main server wasn’t friendly. Wine, ordered large glass, was heavily watered down, tasted old, flat. Starter, cold(ordered the shrimp, they weren’t de-vained, or hot, were luke warm). Came with two small pieces of bread, tasted stale. Main, ordered chicken breast grilled. It was dry, covered in ridiculous tomato sauce from a can. Salad came with no dressing, it was reasonable since it was raw and healthy. Desert came frozen,(cheesecase, but the cheese was frozen solid) needed a steak knife to cut it. Maybe these guys make good pizzas? Who knows, I’m not returning. I think Pizza Express two shops over will do better for me in for this class of pre theatre food.

First off, we came to here on a pre-paid restaurant voucher from Encore Tickets(Virgin Experience Vouchers), so whilst the below isn’t necessarily the chain’s fault, it is however representative of our experience. We arrived on time and were seated downstairs, away from the hustle and bustle, and were presented with a sheet of paper which contained our menu choices for the day. Starters: Garlic bread, bruschetta, or grilled goat’s cheese. Mains: Pizza with or without ham & mushrooms, spaghetti with either carbonara or meatballs, goat’s cheese, or classic caesar salad. That’s it. That’s all. So we’ve come all the way from Birmingham to have a really amazing time out and we are presented with a list of three exceptionally low-value starters to choose from, and six incredibly mediocre mains. «Two courses for 14.95» it says at the top of the menu; so when we expressed our disappointment to who I presume was the manager, we were told«it’s paid for whether you eat or not» and«if you want anything from the main menu you’ll have to pay full price.» Can we take the thirty quid value and use it to buy stuff from the main menu? «No, the system won’t let us, it doesn’t work like that,» and so on. So basically we settled for what we would have chosen from the choices available and discussed how we would never come here again. The most shocking part of the whole experience was that we were told in no uncertain terms that they«get this all the time» and were even told that there was a coeliac disease suffer dining and that she wasn’t able to have anything at all from the menu because none of it was gluten free, and that the diner was made to pay full price for the salmon dish which was gluten free! So, the actual food. The starters were boring and small, the mains were boring and large. I left half of my «proscitto e funghi»(ham and mushroom) pizza because in essence the ham was just draped over the top of it and wasn’t really part of the meal. My other half left half of her carbonara because it was boring. Such a disappointing experience. We were half-heartedly offered the desserts menu but as we’d already decided not to spend another penny here we quickly declined and paid no more than we needed to in order to exit the building, then began the short walk to TGI Friday’s to have some cocktails and dessert. Prezzo — pull your finger out and either serve the amazing food that we’ve heard you do to ALL of your patrons, or break your deal with the voucher system because it is actually doing you more harm than good in its current format. There is a prezzo very near to where we live in Birmingham, and it’s all shiny and new, but do you think that we’re ever going to set foot in there after sampling mediocre and boring food from what should really be a flagship experience in the centre of London?

We had a group of 14 for dinner. The service was outstanding. All the pizzas, salads and pastas were good too. Perfect location for us tourists. We had eaten at Prezzo in 2008 and liked it. We were not disappointed.

We went to Prezzo on a recent honeymoon trip to London. It is a good option before catching The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Royal Theatre. The service was super quick as I was worried we maybe late for the show. I recommend the salad and pizzas for a simple option, but they have a huge menu. We had the Prawn and Lobster on the executive pizza list. It was huge, which seems to be a theme. I believe it was the size of the VIP pizzas. Prezzo is a chain, but it seems to be a solid option especially when we needed a quick meal before a show! It hit the spot and was a great affordable spot.

I bought a pre-dinner meal from encore tickets which we had a two course meal. We checked on Google maps and headed there for our reserved time. The restaurant was not where it was listed on Google? We eventually found the restaurant after half hour and walking past another Prezzo’s. When we entered the waitress told us they have the wrong postcode on Google. If they know this why don’t they change it! My wife has MS so walking about looking for the restaurant was not really the plan. When we sat down the menu we were given only had a few items on it because this was the pre/theatre deal. Be careful of you go for one of these deals because they do not say it’s when you book(if it’s on the website it’s not made clear). So I has to pay extra for our food on top of the money already paid, they were not refunding that. When they bought the food out my wife had the mozzarella in carazzola basically fried mozzarella sandwiches. They were cold. I had the calamari but it did not taste too good. We both had pizzas and they were ok. nothing special but better than a Dominos and that. They waitress and waiter never smiled and really the service was pretty rubbish. I won’t go there again.

From the outside Prezzo looked amazing. It looks posh and my friend and me checked the menu first cuz we expected it to be quite expensive. Prices were reasonable so we decided to try this place. Unfortunately we had a table near the door and it was freezing cold most of the time. As a starter I had warm goats cheese which was really small for what I paid. The main which was spaghetti with prawns just didn’t have any taste at all. Even the pepper and salt couldn’t really make it better. My friend had spaghetti bolognese and she also complained that it didn’t really taste of anything. It was pretty disappointing. The dessert was much better, the vanilla cheescake with raspberries was amazing! The cappuccino on the other hand was disgusting!!! I’d not recommend this place if you have the choice to go somewhere else!

I expected great things from Prezzo, and whilst I wasn’t totally dissatisfied with the service I was rather underwhelmed. The look of the place is fine — clean, modern, not too fussy. The menu looks like it should be fantastic. It’s a nice mix of classic Italian with some newer, items I haven’t seen anywhere else before. The service was ok, if a little antiseptic and rather rushed. The trouble is that the reality doesn’t live up to the expectation. The service should have been way better, the atmosphere was ok but nothing exciting, and the food was just bland. I had grilled goats cheese to start(one of my favourites) and it was rubbery, and rather tasteless. My main was penne al pollo zafferano, which is described as «seasoned chicken, red chilli, spinach and garlic in a creamy saffron sauce.» It was ok. But going on the description it should have been a whole lot better. The chicken was dry, the sauce was tasteless with no hint of saffron, and were it not for the chilli I could have been eating a £1 supermarket microwave dinner! The whole thing lasted for about 50 minutes, and it was a complete waste of time and money. It seems to me that new(ish) restaurant chains have the opportunity to do something wonderful and different to attract a new customer base. In my mind Prezzo has taken the alternative route by doing the same old bland thing as everyone else. What a shame.

London seemed to be plentiful in having Italian restaurants so it was difficult to choose where to go! Prezzo impressed me because of the sleek and modern architecture and décor inside. Looked all posh and s**t. I ordered an antipasto plate which was lovely, as most antipasto and charcuterie platters generally are. And I decided to try their spicy beef pizza for my main event. The pizza came out looking wonderful but there was something strange about it — it wasn’t sliced?! I was provided a knife and fork. I thought that to be kind of odd. Was this an English thing? Apparently not, according to my English fiancé. So… did someone just forget? Anyway, I decided to just take it with a grain of salt and use my knife and fork. Ultimately, the pizza was very unmemorable. Very bland and not that spicy at all. The highlight of the meal was the sticky toffee pudding we had for dessert. Perfectly matched with some cream, it was oh so delightful. More than made up for the mediocre pizza dinner. I would definitely come back to Prezzo for the wine, antipasto, and sticky toffee pudding!

I really like the food at Prezzo which is why I’ve given 3 stars — I want to give more but I found one staff member particularly rude for no apparent reason at this particular branch. Perhaps she was having a bad day but my friends and I did nothing to offend or annoy her. On the plus sided, we had a deal from a voucher website which meant we could have starter OR dessert, main and drink for I think around £10? Its a great deal and worked even better as we shared desserts and starters between us. After a hard days shopping we definitely needed it :)

Brilliant pasta! Not so keen on the pizza! Strongly advise bookings– there are often parties held here. Try the chilli oil — it adds a lot of flavour. There is a down side — it is very expensive Having said that all pizza/pasta places are rather pricey now
