Although I haven’t actually been here for years, I have to give it 5 stars as this is the place where we spent our youth! I believe these days they actually have rather a strict age policy which is excellent(now I’m an adult!). As I remember, music comes from a juke box and is played pretty loud, meaning you can ensure you listen to what you want. Mixed crowd, big space — bar is oval so big and don’t normally need to queue. Poll table, sport on tv. Dancing on tables is not strictly allowed

If looks was everything this pub would definately be one ugly child! But looks arent everything with this pub. You can’t order food but you can get«hot nuts», you cant have a boogie or a dance in hear but theres a few pool tables and the landord is safe a chips so you can get a few free games of him wehn its a bit quiet! The drinks are standard price and the customers are all on first name basis. Don’t be put of by the menacing tatoo ridden oldies this was their local in their hay day, its suprisingly warm and welcoming, lots of cultured people(unfortunately few uncultured ones as well but definately the minority). Nice quiet atmosphere, two big projector screens during the day one for the darts adn one for the footie… sorted!
