Lovely warm place. The staff is great. Lots and lots of beers and drinks. Affordable. In a sunny day can be very pleasant to sit outside. The only negative thing is that they don’t accept credit cards. Would love to go back there

This place has a gay vibe straight away. Cool chilled atmos inside with sports on the big screens. Decent music. Gay or straight. Who cares?

The bartenders couldn’t have cared less that I was sitting there. I guess people go there to have a drink and keep to themselves. The service was quick but cold. I might go back but I would have to be with a group. It’s not a bad bar. I don’t want to give that impression; the staff could be nicer.

Depend what you are looking for. I love this place cos it’s like watching TV in your living room. Probably about the same size. Décor is unusual especially the ornate ceiling. It’s always full of blokes for football games and there 3 screens so if you don’t want sport go somewhere else when games are on. Friendly bar staff too.

A stingy three stars. Should be four really but, I didn’t realise it was a gay bar and am still finding my feet(stop it!). Lovely folks and lovely vibe. Lots of men. Full stop.

I kinda like this place because it’s more like a sports bar than a pub, and London could use a few more sports bars. There are nice, big flat screen TVs all over and they tend to have a selection of Euro sports playing. The main negative is that they don’t serve food… so no sports-bar grub. I’m guessing the reasoning here is that this area is «small hotel» central. That is, almost the entire immediate neighborhood is made up of smaller(mostly budget) hotels with clients who mostly want quick/cheap eats… hence the plethora of nearby fast food places. Plus there’s a dozen other eateries nearby. In short… you go here for drinks and to watch a game. Or just drinks. Before moving permanently to London I stayed a week nearby and found the staff to be nice. The décor is pretty modern and the seating comfy. The only other complaint isn’t really their fault. but just being in a tourist-heavy area and also next to Paddington, they naturally draw a diverse and transient crowd. This can be interesting or it can be like sitting in an airport terminal, with everyone looking forward to going somewhere else. But otherwise, not a bad place to unwind or whet your whistle. Toot toot.
