When I heard there was a free from bakehouse at the borough market I was so excited. When we arrived at the market they were easy to find and had a great selection of their cakes, slices and cupcakes. Each item is clearly marked with what it’s free from which is very helpful. The chocolate and raspberry brownie looked really good, as did the spiced plum cupcake and chocolate banana bread however the award winning carrot cake with orange zest icing was the one for me.
I’ll admit it wasn’t as incredible as I was hoping and maybe I’d have enjoyed the spiced plum cupcake more but it was very nice and definitely great for those with food allergies. I really enjoyed my slice of cake, but it’s something I’d pick up if I was passing but not travel across town for.
