Nice secluded bar that enables you to be able to chat with friends. The service is amazing with very friendly and helpful staff. You also get a free wine punch drink on arrival and free nuts.

This place was amazing. We were looking for some of the top speakeasys and came across this place in reviews. We were greeted by one of the most fabulous bartenders(don’t call them mixologists) that we have ever had. He was very attentive and listened to what we liked and didn’t like, and created his own concoction. None of the cocktails we had were on the menu but their carry an exclusive plantation rum that only 20 bars in the world carry: Highly recommend-ask for Caleb!

I absolutely adore this place xx And as some other review said I kind of wanna keep it a secret. ;) It’s the black door on the left at the Marriott hotel main entrance. You can go to maze By Gordon Ramsay trough a door ask the waiter, great tip, no need to go out, specially if it’s raining ;) Small but cute as a button! I love the brown leather chairs the floor the small bar everything is impeccable Service drinks everything is lovely What I really love is the privacy and the peace you get here away from all the madness out there, definitely is worth a visit’

It is surprising that this is in a Marriott because it has a lot more charm and style than you would expect from a chain hotel. The décor is classic and comfortable, lots of leather and polished brass, beautiful glassware and well dressed staff, etc. The old times music was enjoyable, to an extant but would get old after a while. The drinks were very high quality, expensive but not absurdly so. My brother got a Hemingway Daiquiri which was especially good. My only major complaint is that they wouldn’t let us play a harmless card game, for no particular reason.

The Luggage Room is downstairs in the Marriott Grosvenors Square(we entered from inside the hotel and not the speakeasy secret door). When entering, the bar looks really small, but as you’re seated inside, the bar extends round the corner and is quite cozy with dark wood, faux fireplaces and interesting art on the walls. We had a couple of drinks(I can’t remember the name but it had ginger in it and was quite good), and enjoyed ourselves. I really liked the interior and the relaxed vibe. It also helped that it wasn’t too crowded on a weeknight and we were able to have a conversation. Service was a little slow because we sat up in the back and the couch we sat on had our backs facing the room so it was hard for them to see if we needed anything unless you turned around and asked for them. I’m glad that I found this little gem in our hotel — all the more reason to stay at the Marriott again.

Had higher hopes for this bar. The décor has been done well, the drinks are good but not the best. Service is usually decent but i’ve had hassle going in with a reservation even though the venue was rather empty.

My wife and I came by to check this place out and have a cocktail. I ordered the Old Pal and a Sazerac. Both were good but not exceptional like other places I’ve gone to for cocktails. The menu has a lot of drink options. All in all, it was a nice place and I’d come back and try more drinks.

One of our favorite late night hangouts: the Luggage Room at the Marriot Grosvenors Square. Yes, I know, a Marriott sounds a bit boring. However, as with Punch Room(review here), the Luggage Room is not your average hotel bar. To start with it is a speakeasy. You enter the bar by knocking on a door(with the letters LR) on the side of the building. A little window slides open, true speakeasy style and you are escorted in by a well dressed host/hostess. There is an entrance from inside the hotel as well, but it is just a pair of closed doors that in no way give away that there is a bar behind them. The Luggage Room is a rather silly name, but that is what the space used to be, the room where luggage was kept. The bar is 20’s inspired with leather couches and fine furniture. There are initials on all of the tables and they are there after the famous Bentley Boys, a group of wealthy British motorists, who brought the Bentley brand on the world map. The staff explained that the group used to cruise around the area. The staff are also dressed accordingly to the look of the 20’s and 30’s with flap-dresses and smart bow ties. The ambiance in the Luggage Room is fancy but comfortable. As you sit down, the host brings you a seasonal apéritif and snacks: crispy veggie chips and gourmet nuts, all served in a beautiful silver platter. Food — no better way to be greeted. The selection of drinks is also mirroring what was popular at the time: punches, swizzles, juleps and coolers. The ingredients are fresh and every drink is made with enormous care at the bar. The price tag is rather high, 12−14£. However, I at least feel that it is worth it. All the small extra snacks and spotless service is worth the extra buck. They also have some champagnes on the menu, however I am not convinced of the value for money(especially with the strong Pound). A bottle of Bollinger Special Cuvee is 95£, so I would rather invest that money into many, many cocktails. The wonderful service and good drinks are enough to convince me to visit. However there is something extra with the luggage room, and that is that it is open until 2 am. Now this might sound like nothing for us Finns and Swedes. However in Great Britain bars often close already at 11 pm. Yes, I know, it is really frustrating. But the Luggage Room is the perfect place to go for a drink after a late dinner in the center.

Amazing cocktails! Everything seems to contain absinthe and it all tastes divine. A reservation only venue, you will do well to find it nestled next to the hotel. Definitely worth searching out.

Came here as a late night option after indulging in way too much food at Coya. The bar is trying to get the speakeasy, cocktail focused motif, but I just was not feeling it. Stashed away in the basement of a Marriott(a reasonable red flag to begin with), the Luggage Room offers up the impression of an intimate prohibition era setting. Unfortunately, while the cocktails were ok(read ok, nothing spectacular or innovative), the atmosphere is anything but intimate as loud, inebriated hotel guests and conference goers make this their last call for the night. Additionally, our server was surly and forgot my drink order. She announced service had ended and I inquired about my drink(20 minutes after having ordered it) and she pretty much just gave me a nasty look and repeated it was too late and she had no record of an order.

What a gem! If you are looking for a place to grab a few handcrafted cocktails after work this is your place. A group of coworkers had heard about this place through word of mouth and decided to try them out. At first we had thought someone had pulled our legs because when we showed up to the front we faced a door near a hotel entrance which literally said«Luggage Room» and the door was locked. We knocked and were welcomed by a nice lady who let us in, grabbed our coats then led us to the seating area which opened up to a classy 1920s themed bar/lounged. Needless to say the group was pleased. I judge any cocktail establishment on their ability to make a classic, for me that is a classic manhattan or an old fashioned. The drinks here are on point and I highly recommend.

One of London’s best kept secrets which should stay that way. They’ve got quite a range of cocktails that are classy and/or witty. My choice that evening was French 71, a slight twist of the well-known French 75. The 1920s and 30s theme is well blended with the music and the deco of the bar. I’d love to go back and try other kinds.

Gorgeous cocktail bar located next to JW Marriott in Mayfair. From the first step in, the girl who took us into the beautiful white marble and leather great room, was super sweet. She was so friendly that my sister and I talked to her for a long time before leaving. She was one of the friendlier people I met in London and she made us feel very very comfortable in the Luggage Room! The bartenders were also awesome — very knowledgable and the drinks they made were AMAZING!!! I stuck to gin all night and have no idea what I drank but everything was wonderful. Highly recommended for a great cocktail, but make a reservation first!!!

It was a dark, stormy evening when I approached the black door. I knocked and the viewing window slid back. They opened the door. «I’m meeting someone.» «Yes,» said the attendant, «a gentleman has just arrived who said he was waiting for someone.» She took my coat, led me down a narrow hallway and through a dark curtained doorway to the Luggage Room. I first discovered the Luggage Room at Unilocal!event and fell in love with it. It places itself in the speakeasy category of hostelries but it’s more like a private members club. Beautiful, luxurious and decadent. The colour scheme is all creams and dark browns, with marble floors, leather chairs and studded, upholstered walls that remind me of a vintage suitcase. All very opulent. The staff are attentive and informative, without hovering. They see you to a table and take your orders. If you’re unsure, they will happily make a recommendation. The waitresses wear black, flapper-style dresses. The waiters and barmen, dickie-bows and braces. It’s a bit of an undiscovered gem, not too hectic or big a crowd. The place has a quite a relaxing atmosphere, with 1920s tunes played, unobtrusively, in the background. My poison of choice is rum, so I went with the rum-based cocktails. I had the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club which was refreshing and aromatic, and then the Martinez, dark, potent and treacly — delicious! My companion had cocktails that came in little metal cups, the first two were loaded with ice that obstructed his enjoyment of the drink. Until, that is we discovered that the little metal spoons that came with the drinks were also straws. A very pleasant evening. I look forward to my next visit.

The Luggage Room is one of those spots that I love so very much, it’s hard for me to talk about. Not because I don’t have things to rave about(because I do), but I kind of want to keep it a secret. And it is a secret. Although attached to The Marriott, it’s a bar all it’s own, with only a black near-unmarked door to the left of the main entrance to the hotel. Walk up and knock with the thick metal knocker on the door. A little window slides open, true speakeasy style, and you are escorted in. This bar is intimate. Small but not overly so, and wherever you’re sitting it feels comfortable. This may because of the posh leather seating and beautiful marble floors. When you sit, they bring you a starter fruity mixture, crispy veggie chips and gourmet nuts, all served in a beautiful silver platter. No better way to be greeted. Cocktails are expensive at about £12 to £15 a pop but so worth it. Well crafted, unique, some combinations I’ve never seen in London. And it’s open late! Till past 2am late! I love when bars stay open late but the only ones I’ve found who will do it tend to be clubs or dives. The fact that this is a classy cocktail bar that you can come to after-after-hours. Yes please. The only issue is location, of course. Marylebone isn’t often a destination and there aren’t many residential spots around there. We called to make a reservation but it wasn’t needed, we could have walked in and gotten a table.(Still, if this bar catches on, and there’s no reason why it wouldn’t, calling ahead may be necessary for future trips.) I love this bar. I’m already a fan of speakeasy hidden spots and this is one of my new favourites.
