Specialties
Open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, Premises Café & Bistro offers brilliant Mediterranean food all day every day! Known for fresh meze dishes, Turkish shish, delicious lamb, kofte and famous breakfasts options… Ali and his family have been bringing great food to east London for years.
History
Established in 2001.
In the summer of 2001 Ali and his wife set up The Premises Café & Bistro. Although connected to The Premises Studio, the Premises Café is a family run business, that has over time built up a strong loyal customer base, in addition to the professional and semi-professional musicians who come to eat after their recording or rehearsing sessions in the studios. Originally only a café, the BBQ bar, open from 5.30 pm until 11 pm, was added in 2003. During the day we serve breakfast, brunch and lunch, and all our delicious food is homemade. At night, we turn into a bistro, with BBQ meats and traditional Turkish food, wine and cocktail bar.
Meet the Business Owner
Ali A.
Business Owner
Ali and his wife Liz worked for sir Terence Conrad‘s companies. Twenty years ago Ali started working as a commis with chef John Torode at Quaglino‘s restaurant in the West End under the management of Eric Garnier who was even awarded for his work in 2005. In the meantime, Liz was working in Butlers Chop House in London Bridge. They learnt a lot about the food industry from these past experiences and used this knowledge to start their own business, The Premises Café & Bistro. They are both very passionate and caring about food and people and they put this passion into their everyday job. They have invested most of their time, money and experience in the Premises Café & Bistro for 13 years now and look forward to continue to do so.
