Specialties

We’re food-​lovers who stock an array of local and continental farmhouse cheeses, Spanish and Italian cured meats, locally baked bread, organic groceries as well as award winning outdoor reared bacon, sausages, black pudding and pies!

We also do fresh sandwiches daily on ciabatta or barm, fine wines, cheese wedding cakes and a whole load of other things too.

History

Established in 2009.

Both having backgrounds in speciality foods, Jay Hickson has worked with cheeses and cured meats for over 10 years, managing an exclusive cheesemongers and later an Italian food importer/​retailer.

Steve Black has worked with Mediterranean foods for the past 5 years. We both have experience of dealing directly with farmers and producers and have many excellent personal contacts in the food world, in the UK and continental Europe.
