This M&S is just simply for the foodie who wants a good lunch! If you’ve been waiting for the queue at Eat. and are tired of it, or you think Pizza express will be too much, walk in to Simply food anytime that your tummy grumbles and you are going to be satiated to great levels! Great, fresh sandwiches! Oh, not to forget the most amazing chocolate and strawberry shakes that you get here. They go great with sandwiches and salads and wraps. High quality and freshness combined, is healthy lunch and satisfied you!

I like Marks and Spencer’s Simply Food. I take the point about it being ready meals for people with too much money, and I don’t really like them myself. For the same price you can go out to eat, or at the very least get a take-away! Nonetheless, they do do some absolutely quality foodstuffs here. The sandwiches are amazing. The Hoisin Duck Wrap has to be the ultimate lunch. Also the sushi is good too, and not expensive. Its not like real sushi as there’s no raw fish in it but compared to other super-market sushi it’s a class above. In short, the stuff you buy to eat immediately is high quality and though not cheap, its not a rip-off either. The things they sell to cook for yourself are much more questionable. You can eat out for a similar price, and what’s wrong with buying ingredients and cooking?

I’m not entirely sure what to make of Marks & Spencer Simply Food places. Part of me understands that it’s basically selling ready meals for people with enough money to know better(because in my screwed up world money=knowledge), but I also know that people are inherently lazy, and will usually cut enough corners to put a circle to shame. They exist because people want them to, and if I’m honest, I don’t particularly mind them. Like any Simply Foods place, the prices aren’t cheap, but you can taste the difference in quality compared to, say, Tesco own brand crap. Strangely this particular branch doesn’t appear on the M&S website, so either it’s an imposter or has fallen into our universe from a parallel reality. Or it’s a mistake. But I like the other options better.
