I’ll avoid rating the restaurant for what I imagine that it usually is, and focus on actuality for tonight. First, the waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. The appetizer, fried calamari and prawns, was delicious and perfect. Well presented and super fresh. The main, veal saltimbocca, looked like it was going to be perfect. Absolutely perfect presentation. However, the taste was very disappointing. I believe the chef simply prepared the dish on the wrong order. The chips were piping hot, the vegetables steaming, but the veal was cold. Literally cold; clearly it was prepared first. The other problem was that it was lacking in usual flavor. I really believe the coldness affected the flavor. Dessert, tiramisu, was very tasty. So, I’d like to give it 5 stars, but the reality was much more disappointing.

Pino’s has recently changed its name from Il Capricorno, but it is the same friendly, family run italian restaurant. Pino’s has a really authentic, rustic appeal, but its the food that you should go for, the menu doesnt change but offers a good range of pasta, pizza, meat, fish or vegetarian dishes. Lasagne is our favourite, you can have it as a main or a starter, its the best lasagne i have ever tasted! Its a great venue for a party, but book first if its the weekend as they do get busy. The restaurant is not fussy, but simple and comfortable, in the bar you can see the hooks on the ceiling where it was once the local butchers, its situated just off the high street with parking nearby in the Parade or on the high street itself.
