So much better than the big DIY stores. Staff really know what they’re talking about and very helpful.

What a great shop. It is the old fashioned kind that has almost anything you’d need from a DIY store, with helpful and knowledgeable staff. Seriously, no question is too difficult or simple for them, and if they don’t know, they’ll take the time to ask someone else working there. I’ve never been made to feel silly for the questions or advice I’ve asked for. I love the addition of the craft section, again, great staff to give advice or find just the right thing.
Prices were very competative (sometimes costing less!) than the big chains, so I made a point to frequent Morton’s as often as I could when I lived around the corner. Oh, and I never found the resident dog frightening in the least – he wasn’t overly friendly, but he definitely wasn’t scary!

Could walk around this shop for ages. One of those independent shops that seems to have everything.
Staff are friendly and very helpful, and seem to go out of their way to give advice about products and services.
