While the food here isn’t too bad I have never really enjoyed eating in this café. Service is always pretty slow and I would not call it friendly. In the past I have had coffee and pannini here but I have always though that St. Albans has so many great cafes.

The atmosphere here is convivial. Food is not cheap but you feel that you are paying for quality.
You are served little biscuits with coffee that have cute little sayings on the packets. Look out for these little sayings on other things in the café.
This is a great breakfast stop.
Though be warned there is not much space for a buggy.

This café has great food and really delicious drinks. It has a really funky décor as well, with little comments and jokes painted on the walls.
The manageress is a little grumpy, and you don’t exactly get the best service in the world (I get the impression the waitresses are all a bit overworked), but the food is really tasty. It is a little pricey, but you can probably get lunch in there for around the £10 per person mark.
