Fairly standard Fish and Chips take-​away. The best point has to be the lunch deals (eg. £5 Fish supper or £3.99 for a half Fish supper with a can).

DEEP FRIED MARS BARS = EPIC WIN

Ooooohhh, the gooeyness of the nougat and the caramel with the heat and crispiness of the batter. Almost worth the train fare to St Andrews alone. Though they do them in Edinburgh as well so maybe I’ll go there.
Warning: they only deep fry their own stuff. You can’t buy a Mars bar elsewhere and get them to fry it for you. If you do that, you end up with an extra, unfried Mars bar. Which you could put in a fridge and very nearly leave at your friends’ house and then by the time you get to eat it it’s not cold anymore so you wonder why you put it in the fridge in the first place.

One of the very original Chippies in St Andrews, PM’s used to lead the chippies in standards of quality and availability. Today it mainly lives off tourists and students who have a class just across the road, and the very good deals it has sometimes. The food is good, but it does not get the same special recognition that some of the other shops get for certain meals — it just seems to be the average of them all.
I believe management may have changed recently, so it remains to be seen how the shop will change!
