Studley Grange Butterfly World

horrible experience. the animals are in poor nick, and frankly it smells as if it needs a thorough clean.
got a brochure at a supermarket and thought it might be a good way to spend a day before the kids went back to school, but was very disappointed. staff wandering around as if its all too much trouble.
rest of the sight is ok, good garden centre, nice pet shop, but this is a total letdown

Studley Grange is just off of junction 16 of the M4 motorway. At the back of a large garden centre, you will find a craft village that is a good place to spend some time browsing and one of the places in the craft village is Butterfly world. You can wander around admiring all the beautiful butterflies and if photography is your thing, then you can take some great pictures. It is really warm in there, like walking into a greenhouse.
Once you have finished looking round, there is a gift shop where you can buy all sorts of gifts, many of them butterfly related, for example notebooks and pens with butterflies on them.
Nearby there is a coffee shop where you can grab a drink and a bite to eat.
It is a nice place to visit and spend a leisurely afternoon.

The studley Grange Butterfly world is located just off the M4 at Junction 16 close to the studley grange craft village and is great entertainment, magical and perfect destination for the whole family both adult and kids alike. Open 7 days a week, the butterfly world hosts some of the most beautiful butterflies in the world flying against a backdrop or tropical plants. Good for children’s school trips as it provides the children a good learning opportunity about butterflies and the environment. You can also host children parties which combines a tour of the butterfly world. Prices are from 4.75 /​adult with children under 3 going for free. There is also the butterfly café nearby where you can enjoy a relaxing break for coffee lunch or tea.
