The one star is for their web site. Often, for those who have never actually visited a venue such as this, opinions are initially based on the organisation’s web site. It is a pity therefore that the web site for this leisure centre is so poorly designed. I looked for information on their martial arts classes and I am still non the wiser — I do not accept that a couple of lines of text describing the karate clases as ‘children’s activities’ with no photographs shown is sufficient to qualify as ‘information’.

This is actually a very good leisure centre, with all the facilities you could possibly require; a gymnasium full of excellent equipment, sports halls for all indoor sports, including tennis and football, various suites for groups of enthusiasts in martial arts and other so-called minority sports and, my favourite, a full-sized, well-kept swimming pool. The reason I have deducted stars is that, for most of the day, it is the property of the adjacent schools in that they have priority bookings. This means that there are restricted times when it can be used and that, often, you are surrounded by school parties and all that that entails!
