Big Country Coffee is a locally-​owned drive-​thru coffee shop, with outdoor seating on our back patio and free wifi. Our business model is to serve the best coffee fast so our customers can get back to their business. Daily specials include a drip coffee with roasted-​in flavor – Highlander Grogg is an Abilene favorite. Another customer favorite is Nana’s Hot Chocolate – smooth, rich homemade flavor – served hot, frozen, or kid temp. Real fruit smoothies, made to order with all fresh or flash-​frozen ingredients and no added sugar, are delicious and healthy. The Cuban espresso and Con Panna showcase both our excellent beans and our talented baristas. And our frappes are made the way a blended coffee drink should be: espresso shots in a creamy milk base with just enough ice to fuse into a frosty refresher in the flavor combination of your choice. Add a fresh-​baked goodie, and your busy day just got a little more manageable, courtesy of Big Country Coffee, located at 5001 Buffalo Gap Road.

These are the nicest ladies! The coffee is okay, the atmosphere is comfortable. My only complaint is they seem to be out of iced tea when i go through. Maybe coincidentally, but it has been several times. Other than that the place is great.

BCC serves up a great variety of coffee! Everything I have had from this place is awesome. I love locally owned and hard working businesses. I like their stuff better than Starbucks. For now, this place has short lines along with fast and friendly service. I wish they had indoor seating. The patio is cute. If they can be welcoming with a patio, just imagine what they could do with indoor service! I would love to see some merchandise from them as well. I would totally buy it!

Actually, this review is for the truck. Everything you could possibly want on wheels and on location. The menu is huge, and I needed a warm cup of Joe at Food Truck Tuesday. Staff is friendly, but service can be a little slow when there is a line. And of course, there was a line. But that’s ok, I got my Joe! See you next time!

The coffee is pretty good. I go here because I like supporting the local places. The line can get very long– like all the way out to the road so sometimes I have to pass it up. I’ve tired multiple times to order their 96oz travelers coffee got work and for some reason they always can’t do it.

LOVE this coffee shop! Very cute location with adorable outdoor seating (no indoor seating).
Extensive drink menu of both cold and hot. I got the spiced chai with skim milk (love that you can customize your milk for this drink, comes premade at Dunkin Donuts where I am from). My mom got the house roast… Both were very good!
Once again, true to Abilene, friendly staff and good prices! Will be back :-) !

After driving by this place a dozen times while in town visiting my sis n law at the hospital I finally stopped here and I SO GLAD we did!!! I went with the Vanilla Frappé and it was great! We ordered 6 iced coffees from the walk up window and waited on the patio for them to bring us our drinks and it took less than 5 mins. I’m ready for another one! This is defiantly a must stop for coffee junkies like myself and it puts the «big name» places to shame.

Coming from NYC… coffee spots are a haven for students and those who work from «home.» The problem with NYC cafes is finding a spot amidst the crowd and trusting someone enough to watch your Mac Book Pro while you take a bathroom break…
This is why I adore Big Country Coffee Co. (or as I call it «B3C»)…B3C’s drive-​thru means i can work from my vehicle. and lock my things in the car if I ever have to use their super CLEAN restroom.
Okay enough of my personal preferences… I have to commend the baristas for their patient & pleasant demeanor. The staff also looks like they’re having fun… And who doesn’t like a business that treats their team well?

Sent a friend visiting Abilene to Big Country. The shop was closed when she got there because of bad weather. Due to be at a trade show that wasn’t delaying anything, she was headed into a cold convention center without coffee. Then the owner of Big Country saved the day.
Opened the door, gave her an almond milk latte to warm up and shared a friendly conversation about Colorado (where friend is from) and growing up in Abilene. Good coffee and a friendly vibe to start a cold day.

Amazing! Every time I go here I am served almost immediately. I’ve never had to wait longer than a minute or two for my drink which is unheard of at bigger coffee franchises in town. The staff is super friendly and always make me feel like my day is going to be a good one. Much more affordable than other places in town and have a reward program. Great establishment!

Good way to stimulate the Abilene economy. Just a nice small little coffee shop that is just what the doctor ordered. I’m sure if you stop by you’ll be greater with a «how ya doin» or maybe even a friendly smile, but one things for sure and that is that this is the place to count on for a solid cup of Joe.

Very friendly, delicious Caramel Thing frappé, comparable prices. Only downside is no indoor seating, but they have a nice patio. Go check it out!
