Californian RV Resort

Stayed here 4 nights. Was a good experience. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We were pretty high up and was very windy. Recommend a lower site for large RVS. Only thing we didn’t like there was not enough room for our one ton truck to park in our site with the trailer. I noticed some others with the same problem. However, being first-​timers, it may have been we pulled in a little too far and didn’t allow enough room. There were a lot of dogs, which was fine with us because we have two. Wifi wasn’t the greatest, that’s why I gave it 4 stars.

We are parked at the Californian RV Resort while my husband works at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills. There aren’t many RV parks/​resorts in the LA metro area, especially those that can accommodate our 40.5′ rig so we consider ourselves lucky to have found this lovely RV resort. The staff have all been helpful and courteous. The views at sunset are breath-​taking. Yes, the sites might be close and tight for a large rig but not more so than in many other RV resorts and parks. Although we don’t have young children, I can see that children might have a tough time finding places to play that don’t infringe upon other RV’s spaces, which is not permitted per park rules.
The park’s rules are fair and not unusual for a well kept, clean, and safe RV resort that accommodates daily, weekly, and monthly guests. These rules are evenly and respectfully enforced. The resort has excellent security with keycard access for guests, which is comforting.
Unfortunately, like the rest of California, Acton is suffering from a long term and extreme drought and the resort’s grass has suffered from it. The resort waters the greenery per the current limitations imposed by the state and, presumably, the county. The pool is clean and available during the warmer months. Recommendation: during warm/​hot months, bring anti-​ant products (eg, sprays, powders) as it is in the nature of the area to have copious numbers of ant colonies.

There have been a couple of very negatives reviews posted here. Please note, these posts only tell one side of the story. Yes, there are some park rules, as there should be, for the good of everyone here. The rules are not unreasonable. Every rv park has rules. For instance, pets need to be leashed, not to roam free, and pet owners need to be responsible for their own pet. Seems reasonable. But one reviewer, that has cats, seems to refuse to keep their cats under control. Their cats have been allowed to wander freely, using everyone else’s site as their litter box. There are many of us that have cats in our rv’s, and several of us, me included, have had the said cats spray all over our patio furniture. Ugh. Not to mention our cats are freaking out because of wandering cats outside our door. I’m sure the owners have been warned to keep their pets under control. Seems reasonable. That being said, it seems unfair that the reviewer said some very negative comments about a very nice rv park and a very nice manager. The whole review was plain vindictive, and untruthful, by someone that insists on playing to their own tune and doesn’t want anyone to give them rules. Attacking the management, especially her personal life, was a last ditch effort to make themselves look good. Very sad. Yeah, the spaces are close, but this park was made in the 1970’s. People didn’t camp like they do now and rv’s weren’t so big as they are now. So we need to accept the way the park was laid out back then. Yes, the grass is going brown, but this is California and we are in a very serious drought right now. That is only temporary. This is the best rv park in the area and the owner is working on changes to make it better and more secure. There’s a reason this park is so full all the time. But changes take time.

Don’t stay here, especially with kids. This resort has absolutely nothing for kids to do. The Manager does not follow her own rules, she speeds through the park, in her personal car and golf carts. She has almost hit a number of people, then acts like its your fault. She often stays the night and drinks with other employees and a few residents that live above the rules. The manager and the owner are really close, he will always take her side. If you complain or have a problem with anything, some of the staff including the manager will say «if you don’t like it get the **** out». The comment cards are thrown away, if they have anything bad to say… so it’s a waste of time filling one out. The cable and internet are terrible but yet they charge 725 plus 50 per kid to stay there. When you go into the office and just the manager is there, she acts like she is going out of her way to help you. In all the years of traveling I have never been to place like this. Stay away!!!

Decent RV Park. Only stayed one night. It poured rain on us and was cold. The park seemed good enough. There seems to be a lot of full timers here which isn’t a bad thing just an observation.

This was my frist time staying there. it was very nice and quite. The Staff was very polite and helpful.

I thought this place was great! VERY clean, very quiet beautiful views from the top. I agree with a previous reviewer, a playground would be excellent but the staff makes this place as it is. There is not a lot of «yard» area in most spaces but there is nice grass.

This place is a joke. The management woman is a horrible person and seems to find joy in catching somebody breaking one of the parks many rules. A complete bad vibe all around. She is also a resident so watch out, if you walk by her campsite you will be accosted by her barking mutts. The bald old douche bag guy who also works there is just as bad. It feels like the staff are always talking down to me. I paid for a month, now 2 weeks into my stay this sorry excuse of humans. Approached me and blamed the cable not working in the park on me and then threatens to charge me to have it fixed. I have zero cable in my spot even though I was told I would have cable and it is advertised online. If I owned this place I would fire these people so fast as they are rude to customers and bad for business. I can’t express enough how horrible this woman is. Do not come here or you will be her next victim. The good news is I am not staying another month.

This resort is very close to our home. My wife and I both have hectic work schedules. WE LOVE coming here because it is so quiet. It’s nice to spend a few days just reading, watching movies and lying by the never crowded pool. I called around lunchtime inquiring as to when they closed for lunch as I was about half hour away. The nice lady said they would be closed for lunch when I got there but to knock on the door and she would check me in. The grounds, bathrooms and large gated pool, hot tub and patio are meticulous!
They like to stagger the RV’s so we are not on top of each other. The guests appear to appreciate the care management takes and clean up after themselves. Friends think we’re nuts to camp so close to home, But we would travel 100 miles to stay at a resort of this caliber. Lucky we don’t have too!

This place got 5 starts from me because of the staff’s cooperation and friendliness. The park is very clean and quiet. If you are more than 37 ft with your vehicle or longer get one of the larger spots. Some of the spots are very narrow and may be difficult to get onto. 10 out of 10 for me.

The only thing that I would suggest for your park is a playground for kiddos. otherwise our stay was great. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

This is the WORST RV resort we have ever stayed at. The entire staff with the exception of Denise are rude and have no customer service skills what so ever… The so called night watchman is a joke as well. More of a peeping Tom from what I saw. There is nothing about this place that would bring me back except for new management! Stay just east of irwindale. Beautiful campground on the lake with great people! I repeat… Do not stay here!!! Just a bunch of D-​bags!

Great place!

Best RV resort in the Palmdale /​Lancaster area. Staff are always helpful. Grounds and facilities are well maintained. Don’t understand previous reviews, unless they may have violated park rules and been evicted. If that is the case they must have really done something wrong

The place was alright when we first moved in. Then within a couple days we saw there true colors. Sandy was very rude and abrasive. The manager acted like she didn’t care about what the staff did. The night security guard would fallow me and my girls around on his golf cart or his truck and make us feel really uncomfortable. They would yell at my kids when we were not around. And then when asked about it they would deny doing it. Me and my husband would sit out at night and have a beer and a smoke just the 2 of us, and they came buy right after 10 and told us we had to be in our camper after 10. We were not even talking we were just sitting out enjoying the nice night. Then when we were leaving because we were done with the staff. We tried to go in and talk to the manager about some of the staff and she said «it is what it is!» And we informed her that if we leave at least 8 – 10 others would be pulling out as well and she said «o’well». And they all did pull out with us!
Worst place ever and we live on the road and have been to many places in the last 8 years.

I have had to relocate many times for several projects in order to keep the customers happy. In so doing I have had the option of getting a hotel or simply bringing the RV with me as either way the expense is covered so this is more of a question what works best for me.
Knowing that I was going to be doing some work nearby this location I wanted to be close but also find a place to relax without issue. What I found was a place that more concerned about what I was doing in my RV then what I was in the area for to begin with. This should have been my warning flag but I pressed on after check in only to find that the when I went to use the laundry it was a mad dash before the closing time. Since the technical reports are done via email having intermittent internet access through wifi was something that began to annoy the heck out of me. But I do not own this facility I am merely paying for a service that well was less then acceptable. I could speculate that maybe there were other customers who took advantage of the facility and its staff but bringing that baggage to a new customer was less then professional. I ended up say the to heck with this and relocating to another facility which was less of a price after my nine year old daughter was harassed by the mangers for not being next to me every second of every minute. That was the straw that broke the camels back and I was fed up with this organization.
