I hate shopping and I especially hate mattress shopping. Ideally for me, every shopping trip would take 5 – 10 minutes and not a second more.
And that’s why I loved Dallas Discount Mattress. No joke, my entire experience here lasted less than ten minutes. It was amazing! I just drove up to the storage facility (after having made an appointment, which was super-​simple; the owner encourages same-​day appointments, says that all he needs is about twenty minutes notice), met the owner, told him what size mattress I was looking for and what I wanted to spend. He showed me two models that fit my needs. I briefly tried out both of them and instantly knew which one I liked best. A minute later, I was paying a ridiculously low price for a pretty nice new mattress set, while it was being loaded onto my borrowed F-​150. A minute after that, I was giving the owner my contact information for the warranty. A minute after THAT, I was driving out the gate with my new mattress.
I’ve had trips to 7 – 11 for a Snickers bar take longer than this.
It’s the ultimate in no-​fuss mattress shopping. The owner didn’t try to upsell me on anything. I didn’t have to wait twenty minutes for the crew to pull the order. I was in and out in about the same time it takes to listen «Hey Jude» by The Beatles.
I’m impressed.
And I even like the mattress.

For a delivery or pick up you have to accommodate to his schedule. Said he would deliver the next day then it turned he got «too busy» to honor his word. very poor customer service.

I went with my significant other to buy a mattress set as he had just moved to the area. So far there is nothing to complain about our experience! Some are put off by the fact that the mattresses are sold from storage units rather than a store front, but really the only difference it makes is one that will benefit you! I am so grateful that Dallas Discount Mattress was an option for us because it offers great quality sets for MUCH cheaper than you will ever find in any retail store even during a sale. We spent exactly how much we were looking to spend and even got a bigger size of mattress than we planned. John is very knowledgeable and business savvy. He will provide you with a receipt and very generous warranty for your purchase and encourage you to keep it in case your mattress should begin to squeak or what have you. He wants to make sure his customers are happy as long as you are up front with him as well. He is down to earth and will even help you load your mattress set into the truck himself. I thoroughly enjoyed not having to deal with the experience of retail shopping (pushy/​untrustworthy salesmen, salesmen too busy to help you…). It was like a private shopping experience and we ended up getting something better than we expected for no more money than we planned to spend. I would encourage anyone to check out John’s business if you are looking for a quick and easy experience and want to save some money!

My experience with this company was nothing short of great! Smooth and streamlined, while providing an incredible value that is passed on to the customer. Once one understands the unique yet approachable business model that John Warriner (owner/​operator) has set forth, you realize that it is all about passing along exorbitant savings to the customer.
One could liken it to a similar type of concept to let’s say,
… there is a warehouse, and the products are housed here; and then the product is delivered to your home. Except for in the mattress world, you want to feel and know what you are sleeping on, so there is an opportunity to «kick the tires» in the warehouse showroom by appointment. A perfectly legitimate model that can save you huge $$$.
So, if you don’t let Big-​business gimmicks, huge AD campaigns, and bogus holiday sales cloud your judgment, while paying HUGE markups with these national retail outfits, you will reap the rewards of this particular business’ program and save hundreds to thousands of dollars in the process.
Nothing hidden. Nothing shady. And nothing wrong with providing citizens with an entrepreneurial concept which sells a high-​quality product AND saves the consumer money in the process.

We bought a mattress and box spring from Dallas Discount Mattress over a year and half ago. The box spring started creaking. We called to ask John about it and he said it shouldn’t be doing that. The delivery guys showed up within a week and swapped them out no charge. That’s what I call excellent service!

Great experience! We’ve had family members buy from John’s business in the last four or so years and they were very satisfied. We called John and he was very informative. He even called us back quickly and confirmed he was out of a certain mattress but talked about a comparable one that he would discount to match. We made the trip to Dallas and arrived at a small storage facility. We already did our homework and knew John was rated high by BBB but he had his awards prominently displayed. He was knowledgeable and didn’t try to oversell. We picked a mattress and he helped load. I found John to be honest, forthright and helpful. We will buy from him again.

Over the years I’ve purchased a few mattresses from Dallas Discount Mattress. I’ve referred many more friends and family — all of them completely satisfied.
The prices are extremely competitive if not the best in town. Don’t be put off by the lack of a store front because it means you’re saving more $$ by not paying for overhead.
I don’t have a truck, nor the desire, to haul a new mattress home myself but Dallas Discount offers delivery at a reasonable rate.

My wife and I purchased our King memory foam mattress and our daughters plush Queen mattress from John. We couldn’t be happier! Excellent mattresses and the best customer service you will ever receive. John couldn’t be a nicer guy! Thanks for the wonderful mattresses!!!

We reviewed the Unilocal reviews and were surprised to see a business with 5 stars. We decided to go check out the «store» and went to the address listed. That’s when we realized something wasn’t kosher about this. The guy only shows mattresses on appointment only and we were able to check it out because he had other people scheduled. There isn’t a storefront, rather, the «business» is located in The Attic storage facility. The «showroom» is a storage locker with several mattresses on some bed frames.
He only has a limited selection (maybe 10 – 12) and seemed to push the «foam» mattresses. My husband and I left quickly. The whole set up seems sketchy. He only takes cash or check so if something happens to him, there’s no way to get a refund or stop payment. While the prices may seem low, there is no way to determine where he gets his mattresses, if they are under warranty and if he’s truly legit.
If you’re into taking a risk on something you sleep on, then maybe this is a business to consider. It wasn’t for us.

So… being a professional «bargain hunter», I was very skeptical of what I would be getting here. Well, I am happy to say that my skepticism was very short-​lived because John really was as nice and efficient as everyone has been saying on Unilocal!:-) I went to buy one queen mattress set for my nanny, and ended up getting a 2^nd king-​size mattress for my husband and I, too (which we really needed, but had been putting off because we just didn’t want to spend $ 4000 on a new mattress!). They will be delivering both new mattresses tomorrow, and we are very excited!
HIGHLY recommend buying from John and Dallas Discount Mattress (unless you are extremely high-​maintenance and just can’t feel good about a purchase unless you’ve overpaid for something– in that case, you should probably go to one of the big mattress stores!)… otherwise, you can’t wrong here!

We needed a full size mattress for our daughters room. She wanted something really comfy (ok, squishy was her exact word) Anyway, we shopped at Freed’s and two other nearby furniture stores before calling John to just see what he might have. So glad we saved him as the last stop. He had one full size pillow top mattress left and it was much better quality than what we had seen earlier. We bought her a mattress at a really fair price and it was delivered that same afternoon. His delivery guy even gave us a courtesy call 30 mins. before arriving to let us know he was on the way. How nice! And, by the way, she says this is the most comfortable bed she has ever slept on.

Great price for quality beds. When you are thinking how can John sell beds so cheap? NO OVERHEAD. No fancy store front, no wasted money. You call John, he meets you where he stores the samples. You cannot beat the prices. He delivers next day for very cheap. And to top it all you can try mattress for 30 days if you do not like it he will change it to one better suits you. NOONE DOES THIS! This is the only place I will ever buy a bed! You must check out This place ! You will never shop anywhere else I promise!

Wow, what amazing service I received from John!!! I was skeptical at first being this the first time I’ve ever really bought a mattress for myself I’ve always just had what was given to me. The warehouse/​storage facility was very clean and was a lot like a mini showroom. John helped me pick the perfect mattress based on what I sleep on right now. If you’re looking for great quality mattresses at a fair price then this is definitely the place to go. I’ll never pay the ridiculous amounts others sell theirs for.
Now for the furniture and delivery guys, Chris and Kolton. Amazing! These guys were super sweet! They did keep me waiting a long time for my delivery but I do understand with it being the holiday season and everything. They were fast and efficient with setting up my furniture and made sure they did everything properly, I’ll definitely be buying more from these guys too! Thank you to all three of you for helping me find the perfect bed for me and my family!

In need of a new mattress at a great price, I hit up Unilocal and lo and behold there was DDM which ended up being a stone’s throw away. I called that day, met John that day, bought a mattress that day and it was delivered that day. That alone is hard to beat. Wow!
I must say I was thrown aback when I ended up rolling up to The Attic but once you get inside it’s actually a nice showroom that gets the job done. Innovative even. His overhead is so low that he passes it on to his customers through his pricing.
I really appreciated his 30 day guarantee. It made me feel more comfortable with my purchase. It ended up coming in handy. I had to switch to a firmer mattress so I just called, met John up in the showroom again and settled on one and it was delivered the next week.
My only qualms were that 1.) John only takes cash or check and 2.) That the guys wouldn’t take my old mattress away. They should reconsider that policy. Thankfully I had movers at the same time but if I didn’t I would have been sol for a while. My back is jacked up so I would not have been able to do anything.
I still feel that I was treated well by both John and Colton and the other gentleman. And I got a quality product at a very fair price. Would definitely recommend.

I would recommend Dallas Discount Mattress to anyone looking for a great new bed. John was so accommodating to my schedule and meeting me so that I could look at the mattresses. I was in and out quickly and received my bed the very next day earlier than I was expecting (which was great).

How do I begin? I read the reviews a year ago about John and was waiting until I was in the market for a mattress. My son came to me and said he needed a new bed and I knew right where we were going! I wasn’t sure of the process but my son called and John told him to just call when he was near.
We found the place easily and made the phone call. John came and let us in the gate. After very pleasant introductions, we walked into a small showroom that was surprisingly well set up. I imagined stacks of mattresses in a dark unit. Not so. We quickly found what we were looking for with zero pressure. Can I tell you how much a relief that was?
My son is 19 and just moved in an apartment. He wanted a quality bed that was comfortable that fit his $ 10 an hour wage. He ended up within his budget with a better mattress set than he had even hoped for.
I’m not sure I should mention the extra that John also helped us out with since he normally doesn’t offer that, but I will say that he went out of his way to help us, even when he didn’t have to. This is another area that is normally lacking in furniture stores that we had here.
I also found out there had been a law passed that said you cannot drive with mattresses on the top of your car on major highways. This was passed after a fatal accident involved this type of scenario. This was good to know since we were planning just that. I wouldn’t have liked a couple hundred dollar fine for that! We arranged for delivery.
It was one of the easiest, painless and positive furniture shopping experiences I have had. I will be a repeat customer (as will my boys) as long as we are living in the DFW area!

I WON a mattress set via the Dallas Discount Mattress. Seriously, check out their facebook page, they seem to always have a giveaway running. Once someone wins, it’s onto the next contest. Since it was a contest, I did not go to pick one out, just called and set up delivery. They were nice to deal with and willing to wait a few days to deliver since I work weird days. He offered to deliver on a Saturday, so that’s good for people with normal work hours! Came right on time and offloaded it quickly and included all the info and warranty paperwork. Just wish they could’ve taken the old one as an extra mattress set takes up a lot of room in a small apartment, but luckily only had to wait a week for Salvation Army to come. But, for free, definitely do not complain at all. It’s been a couple months and my back is so thankful for the new mattress. Have shared their link with many friends!

Great place. Please note that the location of this is in a gated area that is a storage locker park. You need to call the guy 10 minutes or so ahead of time so John the owner can get there and let you in. He is super nice and helpful. He was so kind to even deliver same day late on new years eve since we didn’t have a spec of furniture in our newly rented house and needed a place to sleep.
Their prices are less than half of what you pay at other mattress joints. I am so glad I found this place on Unilocal and all the great reviews he has received.
