Specialties
The style incorporates breath, alignment, power vinyasa flow & warmth (room) with internal toning — a soft hummmmm during YIN stretches & certain folding postures. The healing power of sound vibration incorporated into the yoga postures & breath is reflected through the many, many testimonies of our students over 15+ years. This very popular 75-minute practice uses a unique modality referred to as «call-outs» — a strong, recorded foundation that assures students a consistent practice; and affords instructors the freedom to focus fully on the student — helping with alignment/adjustments while encouraging/sharing their (the teacher’s) own unique experience & wisdom. The students love the format because they know they will always have a class with a strong foundation of sequence and timing — even if a teacher is newer — and it is even more powerful with teachers who have more experience & more to share. ~You’ll leave this practice drenched, glowing, physically-spent & totally-energized~
History
Established in 1996.
Suze’s «yoga» journey began in 1993 ~ inspired by the practice and philosophy of two of the original Masters ~ Pattabhi Jois and BKS Iyengar. Throughout the years, Suze practiced with and learned from the many, many great Yogi’s & Yogini’s who made it their life service to share, pass-it-on, help all of us & our planet heal ~ Beryl Bender Birch, David Swenson, Eric Schiffman, Mark Blanchard & many, many, many more. Her greatest Mentor, Bryan Kest, remains a constant in her life ~ his philosophies, teachings & practice resonate… being true to yourself.
Suze’s professional life has been dedicated to «helping others heal.» Beginning 1982, she taught health/fitness education classes; and by the early 90s, was guided to yoga postures & the yoga journey. She has enjoyed sharing with thousands of students over these very many years, ‘having taught an estimated 12,500+ classes & counseled hundreds who sought comfort & guidance with personal challenges.
