Despite the fact that my best friend spilled a bottle of liquor all over the vodka department, this Sigel’s has some of the best customer service I have seen anywhere. The staff was so courteous and polite I was disgusted with the service I give at my own job. A tall Russian man(presumably the manager) approached us after the accident and pointed us in the direction of several gin, vodka, bourbon, AND mixer options for my engagement party all at a ridiculously affordable price that we would have otherwise skimmed over. He even gave us a discount! This was the first of many future visits to my new favorite liquor store(sorry Centenniel!)

One of the few places in the DFW area to carry one of my wife’s favorite wines… Tabor Galil Chardonnay 2009(it’s kosher wine as well).

Now that I’ve found Sigel’s, I felt dirty about stating in another review that Lenny’s is awesome for having sandwiches containing prosciutto. I’ve been to Sigel’s twice, and I have so far purchased zero alcohol. Rather, I’ve been coming here for the European groceries, the awesome cheeses, the cured meats, and last but not least, the sandwiches. Siegel’s has a few of the specialty items you can find at Jimmy’s Food Store, but much closer to my office. I’m not sure how the prices compare, but what I save in gas can probably make up for any difference. The cheese samples are not easy to spot – I totally missed them the first time I came here. Look for small, clear plastic bowls next to each cheese in the large refrigerated section by the deli counter. The sandwiches are huge and reasonably priced, and the prosciutto sandwich is an actual prosciutto sandwich – no other filler meats. Did I mention it’s LOADED with prosciutto and costs $ 5.99? You can upgrade to prosciutto di Parma for $ 3, but I’m happy enough with the domestic prosciutto – for now. I’m pretty sure I’ll never eat at Lenny’s again. So, why the three stars? Well, the bread on the sandwich I got today had mold on it. The sandwich was otherwise so good that I removed the moldy spot and ate the rest, but the bread still tasted stale after that. I was very disappointed, but not too surprised considering that I haven’t seen anybody else order a sandwich here so far. Nevertheless, stale bread should be inspected and tossed as appropriate. Siegel’s, please fix the bread problem so I can give you the five stars that you otherwise deserve.

Don’t be fooled by the sketchy looking sign out front. This place is not your average liquor store. They have a wide and interesting selection of cheeses, especially around the holidays. Their parmesan is aged a minimum of 3 years, and is delicious. On my last visit, I decided to try the goat gouda– amazing! The lady who works at the deli is very knowledgeable about the cheeses and will give you samples if you ask. Because deli is inside a liquor store, they will card you to buy cheese.

Wow this place is great! I live in a dry spot in Dallas and this is my go to liquor store! They are really nice here and always willing to help. Plus they have great prices and great selections! Tons of wine and tons of beer and pretty much any liquor you can think of! Theres also a market with a really good and varied selection of cheeses meats breads and crackers. I’ve Been to all of the liquor stores on this strip and I keep coming back to this one! Sigels is the best!!!

Sorry, but alcohol isn’t my primary reason for going here, it’s the killer carrot cake and the rottissierie chickens at the deli. Bread, cheese, pates and other stuff. Nice groceries for a european picnic. Who’da thunk it?

In Austin, we had Spec’s. Now, in Dallas I have Sigel’s. I am so thankful I found this place. This is my Tito’s Vodka supplier. There is almost always a great sale here on some sort of liquor you can’t live without. Truthfully, the best part of this place is the deli — more importantly — the CHEESE section. I can go and eat the hell out of some samples. I had even tried an horrible rancid cow milk cheese(who the hell eats this?). They have an assortment of meats and sausages. It’s not a HUGE assortment, but it piqued my interest. So much so that I actually purchased dried salami. I hate going to any other liquor store. This one is, to me, the best.

This is yet another retail-wine review from my wine geek point of view. I have bought several bottles of back vintage wine from this store and look forward to sales they have, especially the Bordeaux sales. Of course they have good daily drinkers but you can also find critically acclaimed wines from the Rhone Valley, Australia, Burgundy, Oporto, Bordeaux, California, Oregon, etc. etc. 1) Prices are reasonable and the sales are beyond belief sometimes. Do get on the mailing list. 2) The staff in the wine department here are my kind of wine savvy individuals. 3) The selection is focused. The deli is pretty decent too and something you don’t find at most liquor stores. The last time I was there to stock up on some collectible bottles, I grabbed a sopressata sausage sandwich«to go» since I had to dash back to work… it was delicious!
