Very convenient for a snack with options similar to what you can get at the corner 7-Eleven like fresh fruit, chips, candy bars, muffins, nuts and a cooler filled with beverage options. Unfortunately, my experiences with the prepared food haven’t been so delightful. I tried the chicken-fried rice yesterday. It was extremely bland and almost every element of the dish tasted as if it had just come out of the freezer before being flash heated. The egg roll was extremely soggy. But it doesn’t stop there when it comes to lacking in flavors. I’ve also tried the quesadillas, nachos, sandwiches, lasagna and broccoli soup — all disappoint when it comes to flavor. The only tasty prepared foods I’ve had so far were the gumbo and the chicken noodle soup. The gumbo is amazingly flavorful and authentic. The chicken noodle soup is hardy so you’ll need a big spoon to avoid missing out on the giant noodles. Spiral noodles would be better for the plastic spoons. There are other options like burgers and breakfast sandwiches, but because of my bad experiences with the dishes I’ve tried, I haven’t been willing to try the others. All in all, it’s hard to resist the hope that gumbo will be on the menu on a rainy day since this place is just a stone’s throw away, but if it’s not, grab a fruit bowl and some nuts or head someplace else.
