We finished a long project with Yomi for converting our garage to a master bedroom and a bathroom. Because it was such a big project we interviewed a lot of contractors beforehand, and we chose to go with Yomi and Ran and we don’t regret it at all. They have done an excellent job and we are very happy how everything has turned out. They were always available anytime we needed to talk to them, and were willing to work with any requests we had during the project. Even when they uncovered tricky situations with the remodeling they were able to come up with a great solution to the problem. They were really good as well when we suggested ideas or concerns about something they always listened and helped satisfy us.
Also his crew Romero and everyone else was extremely courteous, professional and hard working people. We would love to work with them again for future projects.

We just finished a living room, entry and kitchen remodeling project with Quality Home
Remodeling. We vaulted the living room ceiling, raised the entry ceiling and completely remodeled a 1960 kitchen. All new wood flooring was insalled. I selected Yomi and his company (Quality Home Remodeling) because they presented us with many good ideas, detailed drawings and a reasonable price for the project. Throughout the entire project Yomi worked with us to make sure we were happy, and told me many times that his goal was to make sure we were happy with the quality of work and the outcome of the project. He and Ran (project manager) were very professional and good at communicatiing with us and accomodating our requests. He has an «A» team of contractors that I really appreciated. Our project is completely finished and I already miss my daily talks with Yomi. He is a pleasure to work with. We plan to use Quality Home Remodeling when we remodel our master bedroom which is in our future.

What a great group! Yomi follows through on everything he promises. What I really appreciated is that he takes personal responsibility for all of the work that is done. It was always «I will» instead of «they will.» The contract clearly defined the work to be done and the amount I was to pay. I added work afterward, and Yomi gave me more than a fair price for it. The project manager, Ron, was wonderful. Everyone took pride in their work and wanted me to be happy with the job.
I had two bathrooms and my master closet completely remodeled and all of my floors replaced. The work took a little over two months. In that time, I saw the same workers working every day. They were friendly and all of the work was done in an organized manner. My home was kept as clean as possible. It is beautiful. Everything I hoped for. Yomi struck a great balance between giving me the advice I needed and complying with my decisions.
I hope to remodel my kitchen someday, and QHR will be the ones to do it. I trust all of the men who worked for me and would hire them again.

Yomi, Ran, and his team spent 6 weeks in my home remodeling it and I couldn’t recommend them more.
From the very first meeting, Yomi was personal, professional, and crystal clear. He had been recommended to me by a close friend so I opted to give him a shot, and all went very smoothly.
They protected the floors and windows, worked fast and efficiently, communicated what stage they were at, what payments were due when, and asked me creative questions about finishes along the way (as well as sharing their opinions about what they recommended).
His team, who spends most of the time on the ground doing the work, were all very respectful of my space, equally professional, and cleaned up at the end of every day. Eventually I even found myself making them all coffee every morning. They were also good with my dog.
In the end, Yomi’s even checked in to make sure I was happy with the work, and sent over guys to do light touch ups. I couldn’t recommend them more.

I was referred to Yomi by a very dear friend. I was told he would be honest, attentive, and most importantly he would listen. They were so right! I had detailed specifications and drawings. I had all of my materials prior to beginning my job. I knew exactly what I wanted and Yomi totally understood my vision.
Though Yomi was referred to me, I still did my homework, getting 3 other bids. I had given my drawings and specifications to each of the contractors so that they would all have the same information in order to give an exact bid. I checked out all of the contractors on the Contractors State License website and, I called and spoke to prior clients of each of the different contractors. I compared all of the bids and found them all to be in line with the scope of work to be done. Pricing was also a factor, I wanted to stay within budget.
Of all the bids I received, Yomi’s was the most inclusive and detailed of the work to be performed, giving me confidence that he was fully involved and hands on in the entire construction process.
I remodeled 2 bathrooms and a dressing room. Yomi was always available and, when necessary, would come over at a moments notice. Yomi’s crew were unbelievably fabulous! Detailed, extremely neat, cleaned the work areas daily before leaving and never left trash around. They arrived daily on time with smiles on their faces. They truly enjoy their work. Armando, the tile artisan, IS FABULOUS!!! For my shower floor, they cut 284 — 3 x 3inch tiles from 12×24 inch porcelain tiles without a complaint. 3 of the bathroom walls were done in 13×40inch porcelain tile laid stacked horizontally. For the inside and edges around the bathroom window, which were finished in tile, I did not want the usual inset of the tile nor the metal edge strips. I wanted the tile mitered. Armando didn’t blink an eye at this request. My shower has a column holding the shower fixtures that is made of glass. One each side of the column are ½ inch Starfire Glass walls. Armando’s work is the most beautiful work I have seen in a very long time. There was very little waste of my very expensive tile and no waste of my glass material.
Antonio — Painting, Drywall and a multitude of other items, is also an artisan. Besides all of his drywall work, he also removed the acoustical ceiling in my dressing room. The most beautiful work.
Fernando — Electrician. He followed my specifications perfectly putting everything in conduit as was my preference.
Fernando — Plumber. Followed my specifications perfectly putting everything copper to copper, no plastic, hooking up the rather complicated rain head, proportioning valve, and hand shower.
At the conclusion of the job, we were present when the building inspector pronounced that everything was to code and done properly.
Our home was built in the early 60’s and was never remodeled. I was worried what would be found behind the walls. I was lucky, there were no problems.
Because I am so detailed, and knew exactly what I wanted — having my fixtures and tile on hand prior to the start of the job, along with the detailed specifications and drawings, there were no add-on’s. The remodel went smoothly and stayed on budget.

I cannot say enough positive things about our remodeling experience with Quality Home Remodeling (QMR).
We completely remodeled our 1850 sq. ft. condo in three and a half months, including two and a half bathrooms, a total kitchen gut, new windows, added wood floors in two rooms, and re-​did three bedrooms, raised ceilings… the list goes on and on. Yomi and his project manager, Ran, kept our project on time, came up with creative solutions to design issues that helped us stay in budget, and paid attention to details (which as a very Type A person I greatly appreciated).
Communication via email/​phone/​text was amazing. If I had questions I always got an answer immediately. I had several meetings with Ran (our project manager) and Yomi at our condo to go over progress and talk about details, frequently initiated by them. Everyone on the job was considerate of our neighbors, and so kind.
Above all else the quality of the work is stunning. Yomi wasn’t the cheapest initial bid we received, but we ended up saving a ton by avoiding costly errors, staying on time (and rent in our temporary space), and the result was more than worth the money. We have a beautiful new home. I highly recommend Yomi and QHR!

8 years ago we hired Yomi to add 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a family room as well as expand the kitchen for a total expansion of 1000 square feet. Worst decision we made. They started the project out by not covering the framing during a rain storm so all the subfloor got warped and their answer was to bring in big fans to dry it out. Well 7 sevens later all those floors Creek. Spent nearly $ 14,000 recently to have the new portion of the house re plumbed. Not a single door they installed is square. They installed the blower above my range incorrectly after i had to point out they initially only installed the hood without the blower. They offered me i believe it was 10% kick back for any referrals. Yomi the owner and his crew were great. Return calls and e-​mails the same day. Showed up each day and finished in less time than than they thought. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy with all work that they do. I will use them in the future for other improvements. Cant say enough about the whole crew. We hired Yomi to build a patio cover, remodel 3 bathrooms, a bedroom and add an addition for a laundry room. We ended up also adding in reproofing and new rain gutters. I would have added even more if the budget would have allowed it! After interviewing several contractors, we chose Yomi because he understood our vision and our budget and was a great listener. He provided very helpful advice and his pricing was very reasonable. His crews were almost always there 5 – 6 days/​week from 8 AM to 4 or 5 PM. They were very polite, respectful, clean and careful not only of their work, but of our home, pets and children. They patiently answered questions and explained what they were doing and why, and when I made special requests or changes, they willingly — and with good humor — accommodated me. Yomi came by almost every day to check on the work, issue corrections as needed — usually because we changed something — and was in contact by phone, email and text numerous times during the day keeping us up to date on timelines, subcontractors and answers to our questions. The quality of work was amazing. Having done three bathrooms and a kitchen before this project, I can say that the tile work was meticulous and took a lot of extra work as our walls and floors were severely out of level. In the midst of the addition, we had the unexpected surprise of leaking pipes in the foundation. The unexpected repiping required extensive opening of walls, ceilings and outside stucco. Yomi’s crews’ finish work was so good that the repaired areas are completely invisible. Yomi even had his crew fix and retexture several areas in the house where drywall seams from previous remodeling efforts were very apparent so that our walls were perfect when he was done. Was everything perfect and without problems? NO! Remodeling, like life, isn’t without it’s bumps. Most of the time it had to do with changes we asked for in the middle of the project (like a change to the vanity cabinet design after they were built) or unexpected surprises like leaking pipes in the foundation requiring several days of redirection. I wasn’t completely happy with the vanity cabinet subcontractor’s final efforts and next time I will insist on seeing the final drawings and dimensions before the cabinets are built. Also, any changes need to be in writing in some form. Larger modifications or additions to the project were fine and an addendum written up and signed. But, a couple of times, some verbal discussions about small details were forgotten because Yomi and I didn’t write them down, but they were minor. Anyone considering a remodeling project needs to really educate themselves beforehand about what the additional expenses might be (what isn’t covered by the contract) and put it in writing. Yomi did list several of the main items, but there are always the «hidden» costs that would be helpful to identify (e.g towel bars, toilet paper holder, sinks, mirrors, door knobs, shower valves, etc). These are things that can add up and you want to make sure your budget will cover everything. Yomi’s experience can help identify these items. To keep construction moving, put in writing when items are needed to help prioritize purchasing decisions and educate yourself beforehand on what typical lead times might be since most items oftentimes need to be ordered (the original time estimates Yomi gave us were almost doubled because I didn’t always have the materials available when they were needed and so construction was stalled a few times). I gave Yomi 5 stars because the few issues we ran into were mostly things that I was equally responsible for and he always graciously worked out a solution to my satisfaction. For example, one of the bathroom vanities was taking a lot longer to get than anticipated and we were without a bathroom sink in any of the bathrooms. Yomi voluntarily installed a loaner vanity to hold us over until the new one arrived. Yomi, is very aware of his name being on the project. He is very detail oriented and picky about the quality of workmanship. He works extremely hard to make sure his clients are not just satisfied, but HAPPY with the final result. It was a true pleasure to work with Yomi and Quality Home Remodeling.

For the longest time, the front of our house looked «tired» — old brick, out of date construction, etc. We interviewed several contractors, but Yomi and Quality Home Remodeling made us feel extremely comfortable and confident that they could deliver on making the front of our home look wonderful. Additionally, we believed there was value in his quote — not the cheapest, not the most expensive. Well, we were right! Yomi completely exceeded our expectations! Our neighbors have approached us several times complementing us on the new brick, stucco, and window treatments. I would recommend Quality Home Remodeling to anyone needing quality work done to their home. We chose Yomi and his crew after interviewing five different contractors.
1. The most important reason we chose him… Yomi listens. He sat down with us and heard what we wanted to do in the bathroom and created a three-​dimensional plan for us, so we could get an idea of how it would look once it was completed.
2. He is honest. He told us what we could, and could not do to stay in our budget.
3. He is prompt. From his first meeting with us he was on time for every appointment, and if his crew was ever delayed he called and let us know.
4. Quality Home Remodeling worked hard to make sure we were happy with the end result. His workers were also very professional, and took extra care coming in and out of our home (we have pets and new carpet which they always kept covered).Yomi came by almost daily to see how the work was progressing and made sure changes were made when they needed to be made.
Our end result is our bathroom is gorgeous. We had him enlarge our shower 3 times bigger than it had been, move our tub, add shower and tub fixtures, add windows, take a portion of the original bathroom and turn it into a separate storage room with a closet and special cat door, put in travertine flooring, new lights, new counters, new sinks, and cabinets. It was a total bathroom remodel from top to toe and just what we wanted.

Against our better judgement, we hired Quality Home Remodeling off the internet. We had been looking into remodel for over a year but were not able to commit because most quotes were contingent of what the contractors run into. Yomi said that his quote was all inclusive (didn’t quite exactly happened as we ended up paying for many items) He told me to let him worry about any problems that came up. As the saying goes, «you do get what you pay for». Yomi is very good at closing deals .
The project was for an addition, all works have been completed and approved by City inspections last month. Just like many projects we read about, the remodeling cost more and took longer than planned.
Kitchen remodel was the first work started in April 2013. Our 50-​year-​old kitchen was overdue for a makeover. I credited Yomi for insisting on kitchen remodeling I thought we couldn’t afford. He worked with our budget, gave us a discount and we came up with a bit more money. Quartz kitchen countertop was seamlessly installed by a subcontractor. Another subcontractor did kitchen cabinet whose door hinges and drawer gliders came loose this year. Yomi sent a crew out right away to re-​enforce the hardwares. I love the new kitchen. Hope and pray that it will last.
Yomi assigned his young crews on our project. They are courteous, hard-​working, and still learning young men. We feel that our house was being used for these young men to practice their skills. I estimated that Yomi came to the site less than once a week, but was virtually consulted by his crews via smartphone. Husband ended up doing the supervision, job inspection, staying for city visits, requesting corrective actions, etc.

There seems to be a lack of communication with electrician, another subcontractor. Several holes were made and patched. After seeing LED recessed light in the finished kitchen, I added to our contract more recessed lights throughout the house at $ 115/​each thinking we are getting the same LED light as the kitchen. When the lights were installed, Yomi said that the added lights were priced for a regular canned light. How could «canned light» listed on two different locations in the same contract mean two different thing. Our lesson that spelling in detail is important. We bought our own LED. Thank God for Costco.
Though Yomi came up short on many areas and we have disputes, he also gave us more on others. He gave us an expansive living room not being offered by other contractors. His vision that we should go for the high ceiling was insightful. He was always reachable, even with his several trips out of town/​country.
I tend to trust people and don’t get everything in writing. Yomi has a tendency to over-​promise. Learn from my lesson, get things in writing and spelling out details. May be hard to specify quality/​grade of product or workmanship. Yomi said that his work is guaranteed for 10 years. We’ll update of how that promise goes

Yomi did an awesome job redoing our back patio! He was open to discussing design and pricing alternatives, willing to work with a budget, and had a team of experienced professionals to do the work. He not only did a great job, he went above and beyond our expectations and got the entire project done is record time.
We love our new, beautiful, stamped patio and have received so many compliments from our friends and neighbors. He’s now our new go-​to-​guy for all our projects!

We hired Quality Home Remodeling to do a bathroom and kitchen remodel as well as outside landscaping. Yomi is definitely the contractor to trust. He has tweaked each project as needed and always tries to find a solution to any problems that might arise. We had a tiny kitchen that is now open and inviting.
They started on the master bathroom and they had to remove a wall, a drop ceiling and a second smaller wall. Total demolition. They were so careful about all the mess making sure we could use our bedroom at night and that I could get into my closet which is in the bathroom. The tile work they did was beautiful. They made a point of setting the tile so it was flush with the wall. The shower is big and wide and has a bench. Much larger than we expected could fit in there. Yomi assured us it would work and it did! Very happy with the results.
A few months later we decided to do the kitchen. Again they amazed us making a small area that could barely fit two of us at a time into a area that will now fit 4 of us in the working area and we don’t have to shoo away the dog! They removed a wall and totally demolished the rest of the kitchen layout. Yomi gave us about 6 different configurations to consider. And with his help the one we ended up with is perfect! I may even learn to cook since I like being in the kitchen so much now. His crew again made sure we had the least inconvenience possible. They finished in about 3 weeks and would have finished earlier if I could have decided on the backsplash.
They also refinished our pool and patio so we will have years more use out of both.

Excellent work with immaculate attention to detail. This company has done construction work for several of our apartment buildings; remodeled leasing offices, replaced balconies, brought noncompliant units up to code which involved several city inspections. They’ve also done renovation work on my personal home and one of my best friends homes in Calabasas. They are creative and solution oriented. I have a building that’s been in our family for almost 65 years. We are unusualy attached and protective of it since my father built it back in the fifties.
