No Hot Water!!! You don’t even know unless you read the small sign on the door. Who washes white clothes/​bath towels in cold water. The washers are costly $ 3.25 a load. I only stopped here for convenience but it won’t happen again.

Some of the machines are a little outdated, but they get the job done. I will definitely start coming here more often.

This location is ok if you have oversized items that won’t fit in your home washer, but you have to watch the timing. You have to compete with the limited number of working washers and there really isn’t another laundromat in the area.

Maybe the only negative here is that there is a limited amount of front load washers. The $ 8 ULTRA LARGE capacity washer washed all my jeans and darks that would’ve taken 4 loads at home so money saver there. Like one of the reviews said, don’t expect a 5-​star hotel here and you’ll be ok. The place is clean. The clientel keep to themselves and the lady working the front desk is super helpful and really nice. I only come to laundromats when we are on vacation or our washer breaks. The parts for our washer comes in later this week so we’ll be back one or two more times.

called before going to ask if there was hot water in the washers because all the laundromats in waipahu have no hot water & female said yes… drove there from waipahu… before putting clothes in i asked again if theres hot water she said yes… loaded all the clothes put $ 3.25 (dat iz expensive) per load i had 4 loads… washers start filling so i check the whites & the water is cold… we ask the lady she proceeds to run the sink water awhile… never apologizes & never comes back to explain about the hot water… so even if you select «whites» & even if it says «hot water» its a lie… all the whites came out unclean… i will never go back there again & wouldnt recommend it to anyone… wasted gas driving there & wasted $ 13 for clothes that werent clean didnt even get out surface dirt… ended up taking clothes & drying somewhere else… i dont appreciate being lied to…

I took 3 comforters to the Pearlridge Laundromat. I don’t go to a laundromat often. I expected a long and HOT afternoon. Being unfamiliar with what to do, I asked the attendant, Penny, for assistance. She is the MOST helpful and friendly person.
She showed me every step of the way. She went out of her way to help me load, unload and fold — as my items were large and bulky. She made a the whole experience a very pleasant one. Penny is a GEM, she is worth a THOUSAND BUCKS ! (I spent $ 17 to wash & dry all 3 comforters) Thank you Penny!

It’s been a lot of years since I’ve been to a laundromat but I had two comforters that were too big to go into my machine so I took them to Pearlridge Laundromat. I have a disability and although I could have handled everything myself, it would have been a struggle. One of the workers, Penny, saw my challenge and came running to the rescue. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated her kokua, start to finish. If there were more people like Penny in this world it would be a much better place. I doubt if many people enjoy going to the laundromat but it definitely makes it more endurable when you encounter such pleasant people!

Prices are VERY high. $ 10 to wash my ONE queen comforter. Too over priced. My blanket fits in the washer/​dryer, but they’re too small to get it clean. & I have good front load washers.
The facility could use work. It does look very run down. Appearance is everything! Hence why it’s getting 3 stars, & the price.

Pearlridge Laundromat Services is a laundromat, not a 5-​star hotel! The place is clean; that’s more than enough for me! People of many social-​economical groups come here due to no washer/​dryer or like myself, oversized comforters. As far as «scary-​looking people», doing laundry is not one of my favorite chores, so if I’m not smiling my butt-​off while I’m here; excuse me.
The lady working there, Diane, was so helpful! She directed me to the proper washer to use, inserted my money into the machine and even measured-​out and filled the machine with my laundry detergent! If that’s not good customer service, I’m sorry, I don’t know what is!
After 45 minutes, I figured out I should check on my load. Diane had already taken my load out of the washer and because it wasn’t as dry as she thought it should be, ran my laundry through a external «spinner» and didn’t even charge me the $ 2.00 it costs!
Diane then directed me to the dryers, then when completed, I was out of there!
No drama!
Btw, do not judge people by their appearance or occupation, some of the people I met in this laundromat are «white-​collared» workers.

Most expensive laundromat I have ever seen. $ 3.25 for a tiny washer and price goes up from there. Kind of dingy overall, hot (but the fans help a little), and crowded. The lady at the counter was pleasant enough. This place is ok…

Its a okay enviroment. Big fans blowing every where because it cam get hot. Help is always there. A little uneasy feeling like your being watched to do laundry there. Change is always available. TV NETFLIX. Video games. Vending machine and snacks. Cheapest washer ia 3.25 most is $ 8. For the huge washer which they want you to use when you wash comforters and blankets. DRYERS are sometimes unoperable. Pay attention to the dryers as it doesnt have heat at times. (Lose money) When It gets busy .the big washer is almost impossible to get. Cant blame them. Just like me im there to get it done and leave. But i travel a way distance to come here. Graces and Ice cream is next door. SAFEWAY across the street. Waimalu Elem. Across with a park and b court.

This place was amazing compared to the dump I was at earlier… look a laundromat is a laundromat what do you really expect ?? Thousands of people are in and out all day long cleaning stuff but at least this place takes some pride in their appearance.
It was nice to not feel like my stuff was going to leave dirtier then when it came in, the dryer was AWESOME !! 30 mins and my cloths came out on fire !!

I went to this place last night around 8PM. They close at 9PM. There was a lady who was working in the front. She immediately yelled extremely loudly, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I close at 9PM, no way, you sorry no way, it’s too late, I open at 6AM but no it’s too late. I looked at her in disbelief as I was just embarrassed in front of the entire place. I can assure you I will NEVER return nor will I recommend this place to any of my friends and family, plain and simple, this place sucks.

So one day I decided I really needed to stop putting off washing a certain comforter and my home washer just would not be capable of the job. I promptly looked up «Laundromats» in the Unilocal search and found really only two in my area, one being Pearlridge. Seriously?! TWO laundromats?! Geesh. Talk about forcing my hand (er, choice) much?! So Pearlridge it was, since it was located very close to home and the other errands I had to do.
My first glance inside left me feeling squeamish, after all, the place doesn’t really look all that nice and the machines mostly look like they’ve been around since the late 80’s, maybe even having been picked up off the side of the street as someone’s castaways. I quickly found the only large machine that looked like it could handle my large comforter, and when I say the «only», I mean that just about every single other machine was broken or out of order, like maybe ²⁄₃ of all the washers. The attendant was quick to come over to help and was forced to agree with my choice of machine (like I said, no others were in working order), and helped me with the technical difficulties of getting the detergent, bleach, and quarters in the machine. My large heavy duty washer cost $ 4.25 cents for a cycle (I suppose that’s not too bad, but damn am I glad I have a W/​D at home for the daily stuff) and another $ 1.75 for drying. Despite a severe lack in available W/​Ds, the job got done. Still, there’s a reason the attendants are there: the coin slots are quite difficult to get quarters in.
HOWEVER. I’m seriously disappointed that there isn’t another laundromat in the Aiea area with better (as in newer and in working order) machines, as well as something to offer in the way of competition. My feeling after going to Pearlridge Laundromat Services is that they have nothing forcing them to get the place in better condition as a impetus to stay relevant. Don’t we all need a little reminder that things can be better? Pearlridge needs that mental note printed on a big ass Post-​It note! Will I be coming back? Hell no, I’d be a little worried about just how clean my things are. There’s another laundromat in Waipahu, so I’m thinking I’ll give that one a try next time, or else there’s always a super expensive visit to a dry cleaners. :-/

Well thought this place was ok but now I have changed
They are a little rude they are always croweded with scary people
And they act like u dont know how to warsh ur clothes and the last 3 times
I went my clothes smelled worse then when I went in.Yuck.

I had come here last December to get a lot of white 3×8 table cloths cleaned, about 20. The lady who worked there (is she the owner?) was very helpful in telling me how to get rid of the stains on the table cloths with certain detergent brands and which machines to use in a short period of time. I was impressed after all the table cloths were dry. They all looked practically the same before I used them for my wedding! This was definitely the best laundry mat experience I had!

So I kinda broke our washer this morning… kinda… I had a case of OCD super early this morning and I really wanted to wash our pillows. Duh. It doesn’t fit our thin twin washer =\ so it went a little lopsided *tear* How do I explain this to my fiancé!?!
Anyways, now I’m stuck with two soaking wet pillows and I jumped on Unilocal to find a Laundromat that was decent and nearby. I also asked a friend their thoughts on this place. And they liked it.
Well, now I’m here and I’m really glad I found it! Lifesaver! Or should I say pillowsaver! Lady is super nice and helpful. She suggests which washer is best and loads the money and soap for me. Thanks!
Its a tad bit pricey ($ 4), hence the 4 stars BUT I don’t mind cause my pillows needed the love and cleaning :)
They also do laundry services here. Its clean. And there’s food … mainly ice cream is what I was referring to… right around the corner!
I’m glad I found this spot. I’ll def be bringing my comforter here! Yeah. That I know won’t fit in our thin twin!!!
Now…I’ll head to eat some ice cream and prep myself for a disappointed face from my fiancé. Its a good thing I can make him laugh =B

This place is aight for doing laundry. I came here once to wash some clothes and remember the wash being hecka expensive like almost 2 bucks just for one load. I came in during a day when it was hecka busy and a staff worker was willing to help me out. She pretty much set everything up. I just had to make sure I came back to pick it up. The laundromat itself is not that big. I would say it’s decent sized. I can’t imagine how much drying would be. The place is conveniently located in a small kine place where get some eateries such as Grace’s Inn, Dave’s Ice Cream, and Papa John’s. While you are waiting for laundry you can go to those places and eat your time out. I think there’s some TV’s in the laundromat place too. It’s right across from Waimalu Elementary School and the basketball court there as well as a jungle gym. If you feel like doing some physical outdoor activity while waiting, you can do that too.

Laundry nazi. I washed two blankets and one fitted sheet. The lady who works here made me use the 80 lbs. front loading washer. Why? Probably cuz that costs the most. I asked if I could do it myself (if I wanted someone to do it for me, I would’ve used a drop-​off laundry service) and she said no. Said mgmt. had to get comfortable with us before they let us do it ourselves. Really? You think I don’t know how to do the laundry?!!
Then I asked her to break my $ 20 bill so I could get quarters from the change machine. She says she can’t break it but can give me $ 20 in quarters. Uhhhh, clean out your ears lady. I said I wanted bills. I don’t freaking need 80 quarters. I asked if she had any bills and she said no. Fine! So we walk to the register to get the freaking quarters and when she popped that sucker open, low and behold, bills. $ 20 bills, $ 10 bills, $ 5 bills, $ 1 bills and I think I even saw a $ 2 bill. Booyah!
You suck. I’ll wash my blankets old skool motherland style (in the river with with my hands, feet, blood, sweat and tears) before I come back for this abuse. Peace out.
Two stars cuz at least my sheets got cleaned, the place was decently clean and it wasn’t crowded with skeevy people.

This has got to be my favorite laundromat experience yet! An AIR-​CONDITIONED location? Thank you Jesus! This place is small and may get crowded, but washing clothes here is pretty much a luxury! My washer broke down again (how is it you buy a brand new HE front loader and it craps out three times in a year?) and my parents told me they washed clothes here instead of their normal waipahu spots. I totally forgot this place existed cus once you own your own washer and dryer why would you go to a laundromat? The desk is open and the staff is really friendly. It’s easy to get change and you don’t need to pay extra to make change (Waipahu spots tax you a quarter to use the change machine by shorting you $.25…they put it in writing too!). Washing machines are clean just like the rest of the laundromat. Nice places to sit. And you have options to do while you wait. Pizza hut, Maruju Market, Grace’s Inn, and Krazy Cool will fill your belly. And you could look at fish at Coral Reef HI to pass the time. If you need a laundromat and willing to drive to Waimalu/​Newtown THIS IS THE GO TO SPOT!
