I usually do not write reviews, but for amazing wok I will. Before i order food from any takeout place i ALWAYS read reviews on Unilocal. So, as you can see most of amazing wok’s reviews are pretty great, which initiated me to try it, I as well made sure to give it 3 trys, because sometimes you can get unlucky when you try a place once and get a not so great meal. Amazing wok is a typical mediocre joint, it’s probably great for people who aren’t as picky with there Chinese food like me. But for me I like fresh quality I like to know I’m actually eating real chicken rather than a meat im not to sure about. and I also like to eat Chinese that you just know is made with quality instead of just awesome quantity. Don’t get me wrong this place isn’t terrible but it isn’t great. If your anything like me and relate to what I am talking about please don’t waste your time here and try ruby’s it’s just down the road, it’s super cheap, they use real fresh white meat chicken and it has the quality and quantity you would appreciate.

As cheap Chinese takeout places go, this is THE place. If you’re looking for real Chinese food, check across the street; if you’re looking for looking for Chinese to pick up at 11pm on your way home, this is it. I have to commend this place for making every meal fresh to order. The sesame chicken and crab rangoon are always crispy. Don’t let other Chinese places confuse you; this is the place to order Chinese from in Albany. Always fresh, always cheap, and will always let you place an order 10 minutes before they close.

Awesome«greasy spoon» Chinese food!!! I moved to the Lark Street area 10 months ago and often hit up Amazing Wok. It is consistently tasty, hot, fresh and speedy; everything you can want in a local Chinese spot. My favorite dishes are the fried chicken wings, homestyle bean curd, hot and sour soup and mushroom egg foo young. Give them a try if you’re in you’re in the mood for some tasty Chinese food!

Not bad for Chinese at Albany. Had the general tso and it was definitely enough for two. Not a great sit down place but your run of the mill Chinese when you haven’t had Asian food in awhile.

Prices were ok. Food wasn’t ready that great I am trying to review and girlfriend is shouting give it a negative nine on a scale of one to five. I am not as critical, but this was far from the best Chinese food ever. .our crab Rangoon was chewy not crisp. It was overly pineapple sweet and appeared to be made imitation crab meat. The fried rice was bland and tasted like rice-o-Roni. It had s «f’ing neon yellow» color. Yes she is still interjecting We are from out of town and hope we caught them on an off day. Honestly, doubt it.

I love their food. Always fresh and hot. I like to order online and pick it up. Reasonably priced and decent portions. I just wish they had fried crab sticks. :-)

Classic Chinese take out. Food is good, not great and more importantly it’s not bad. This is my go to place when I don’t feel like cooking or spending money.

Amazing Wok truly lives up to the name. Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve had since leaving Hawaii. The employees are tired, but always lovely. And $ 24 buys you enough food for a feast.

Seriously some of the best Chinese food I’ve had ever. The fried rice is amazing and has bean sprouts and everything. Seriously I wish they would deliver to my office!

This place is nice as I say… Not too good but better than others what I’ve tasted… Price is pretty decent. But I have a tough time ordering food online these guys don’t understand that’s easily…

Awful. The place is very dirty, and the food has been stored so long it made my mouth numb. I was paranoid I was going to get food poisoning.

I’ve been all over the capital district and this is by far and away the best General Tso’s chicken Ive ever had.

You know, some days, you really just need some greasy spoon Chinese. The American Chinese kind. I haven’t ventured to one of these places in a long time, but given that I’ve been away from the city(that is, The City, as in NYC) for a while from its myriad food options, I needed something Asian(even faux-Asian) at 8:30 in the evening. So, naturally, I opted for some quick and easy Amazing Wok just up the street. As someone else said, it really isn’t all that bad for Albany. I at least wouldn’t expect much better. It’s certainly cleaner than some of the other greasy Chinese places I’ve seen(and haven’t eaten at) in Brooklyn. I had the pork fried rice, and while it was skimpy on the pork, it tasted pretty good. It’s just another alternative to a slice of pizza anyway, is all. Plus the guy who manages the counter is just so nice. I’m sure I’ll be tempted to come back in another month or so.

Not bad for Albany Chinese, but that isn’t saying much. As I used to live down the street, I picked up from Amazing Wok a lot. The food was always freshly prepared and hit the spot, but was clearly Americanized cheap Chinese food. Since there are good Japanese places around(including next door), I never dared try the sushi.

Amazing Wok is the kind of Chinese food that you get when your craving for General Tso’s chicken is matched only by your laziness and you no longer care that you may be seriously ill later or that every other piece of chicken might have a consistency entirely inconsistent with chicken. It is thoroughly mediocre, but tasty, so if you don’t have the energy to go to a sit down restaurant somewhere, you live near Lark, and you need some Chinese food, this is your place. It has never been disgusting, but it has often been… meh. But isn’t that exactly what you want in Chinese take-out?

I live so close to this place that I wanted it to be good. Unfortunately, it really isn’t at all. The hot & sour soup is spicy, but doesn’t have any substance or flavor, the egg rolls tasted like frying oil gone bad and the sushi was a disaster. Pass.

This place was ok. The delivery was fast; we got our food only about 20 mins. after we called in our order. The chicken chow mein w/crunchy noodles was pretty good, and the vegetables they used tasted fresh and the chicken was tender and good quality. Fried rice was not particularly note worthy, but still tasty. Stay away, however, from the won ton soup!!! I think they make their won ton filling w/very low quality pork scraps, as they were very fatty and had bone shards! :P Gross. I would order the chicken chow mein again but that’s it. Their steamed rice was good but that’s a pretty hard one to mess up.
