Hut Airport Shuttle

Driver was very polite but other than that it’s not very comfortable. A/​C is very weak, plugs didn’t work and wifi was to slow to load a webpage. You pay 60 $ from Portland to Eugene with a bus change over in between. Bus scheduled to arrive at 4:45pm but arrived at 5:00pm. Not to bad with traffic. Took 3 hours to get to Eugene, not the greatest.
I will rent a car next time and return it early.

As an airline crewmember, HUT has been invaluable in transportation to/​from Corvallis. The shuttles have a great on-​time record and are highly reliable. Though there have been times that the wi-​if has been out or the outlets may not work, it’s not a deal breaker. I have had great luck reserving a seat on the shuttle even as late as the same day. I’ve tried the train from Albany before, but that involves a transfer to two different MAX trains in Portland before getting to the airport. The cost is reasonable and the drivers and call center workers have always been helpful and friendly. If you need a ride down I5 from PDX, there’s no better way to go!

Hut Shuttle was an hour and 15 minutes late — reason was «bad traffic on the interstate.» To not anticipate traffic into Portland on a Friday afternoon is unacceptable. Refund? Nope. Apology? Nope. A driver who slowly took 30 additional minutes to check everyone in? Yep. Insult to injury — plugs did not work on shuttle. While a cab may be more expensive, it is worth it.

completely overpriced for the service provided. $ 20 to take a lovely train with access to bathrooms and a dining car, or $ 50 to sit on a shuttle bus with no seatbelts or AC.
the driver was nice enough but honestly I kinda wish he’d just shut up and drive instead of offering us guide books.
Also, if you state you have a strict policy against cell phones, maybe you should have that posted somewhere. Perhaps on the website or even on the bus itself. I have a job to do and I’m not putting a business call on hold because you have some personal issue with people taking phone calls. I don’t care how much you awkwardly laugh about it while you’re telling me I’m not allowed to use my phone. completely unprofessional. it should also be notes that I took a business call WHILE WE WERE STOPPED IN SALEM FOR OUR «BREAK». seriously? and you’re going to reprimand me in front of all passengers on our break?!

Service is fine. The bus is pretty bare bones and the wifi doesn’t really work, but that’s probably not a shock to anyone. The drivers are nice and seem very organized and professional. This is a whole lot nicer than, for example, SuperShuttle.
Maybe it’s an Oregon thing, but they’re pretty relaxed and could definitely be more efficient. For example, why does the shuttle stop for 15 minutes at the Red Lion in Salem going both ways? There is hardly even anyone getting on or off there. In fact, hardly anyone gets on or off the bus anywhere but Corvallis, so the other stops just serve to slow down the trip for the vast majority.
If there was a direct shuttle to Corvallis I would definitely use that instead, but this is pretty much the only option other than renting a car. It’s a decent option to avoid the hassle of the latter, so I’m sure I’ll use it again.

Hut shuttle saved my rear! Expired license and could not rent a car. Easily got on shuttle to go to eugene. Dropped off less than a block from my location. Wifi, charging station and great customer service from drivers.

I’m a flight attendant and use Hut regularly. They are consistently fantastic. Friendly, knowledgable drivers, especially Rich. And personable, efficient call center representatives, Crystal in particular. Travel is challenging and I appreciate knowing I can count on Hut for my airport transportation needs.

If I could have I would have given no stars! Below is the email I sent to the owners of this company based on my recent experience. Obviously we will never use this company again.
Dear Mr. and Mrs Hutmacher,
I scheduled my son on your shuttle for a round trip from Eugene to PDX and back again. The return was scheduled today, March 30^th. I used your company based on the facts sited on your website including but not limited to your business statement which states in part: «And if your plane is late and you miss the bus you were reserved on, your reservation confirmation number guarantees you a seat on the next bus out.» My son’s flight was delayed and out of concern I called your company today just to verify he would be guaranteed a seat on the next bus since he would not be able to make the bus he had the reservation for. I was shocked by what I was told from two separate people at your company, one named Diane. They both told me that he WAS NOT guaranteed a seat on the next but because three times a year, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break, you are completely booked and there are no available seats on any of the remaining buses. I was told he might be able to get a seat if and only if there was a cancellation but at this time all buses were full. That included the last bus out — which meant that he could possibly be stranded at PDX with no transportation back to Eugene. I asked this question specifically and was told that was entirely possible.
Because of this we had to find him alternate transportation — a cost to us of $ 250.
I am shocked and appalled at how you are running your company. First to explicitly state on your website that a person is guaranteed a seat on «the next bus» if they have a flight delay and then to verbally tell customers that doesn’t apply during the busy times of the year namely Thanksgiving, Easter and Spring Break. At the very least you need to state that on your website.
What a disappointment to say the least.

Great service at a great price. I’ll definitely use Hut Shuttle again.
