Belle View Post Office

Costumer service is awful. The employees feel it’s ok to use sarcasm with the costumers and are not shy to speak loudly enough to find somebody in the long waiting line to wink at in agreement with the way they are treating the costumer… because the long line IS the costumer’s fault…
Terrible costumer service.

The ladies here were so nice and helpful. They also have shorter lines than many of the post offices in the area. Would definitely go back.

Thank you, post office employee, for seeing me race up to your door with my two small children in tow, only to lock the door at 4:59. Really? You close at 5pm and when you see a customer coming, you lock the door. Thank you for being so incredibly rude and unhelpful.

Now I know why the Post Office is losing money, because branches such as the Belle View Branch manage to find new lows in poor customer service. I stopped in to mail off a package today, only to discover a line snaking out the door. It’s not Christmas or Tax day, so what gives?
I’ll tell you what gives, postal pals, an employee-​in-​training with no one to help her handle the idle chit chat that so many customers seem hell-​bent on dispensing to a captive audience. With no one to instruct the newbie on how to diplomatically move chatty customers along, the rest of us are forced to watch the line grow as we listen to such customers drone on about special postal stamps, or why their newspapers and periodicals weren’t held with the rest of their vacation mail.
«I don’t understand what happened to our newspapers and magazines?»
«I can’t say, Mam, but you missing any letters or bills?»
«No, they seem to be all here, but what about my newspapers and magazines?»
«This can happen sometimes. We have a number that you can call to follow up on the matter.»
Ugh 10 minutes later and the same conversation was limping a long without any resolution. The novice postal clerk was incapable of bringing an end to a conversation that just wouldn’t end. It was so bad that I wanted to scream. My internal dialogue went as follows:
Lady, after a month, your papers are history and only good for lining the bottom of bird cages. It is called the internet, Chatty Cathy, I’m sure you’ll find some news there. Oh, and that Cosmo you’re crying about most likely has an article or such on how to keep that special guy happy. Here’s a tip, stop whining about every little thing, and maybe there will be smiles all around the homestead. Finally, no one cares about your missing Redbook. Move on, Martha Stewart, I am sure it has.
Sarte once said that, «Hell is other people,» and I am now certain that he was right. However, as awful as this logjam of a customer was, the employees could have pulled someone from the back to open up another line, or how about sending a more experienced agent to assist the trainee? Nope here at Belle View, slow and steady loses the race. I only wish that I could summon the ghost of Ben Franklin to put a fire under the butt if this place.

This post office is located within the Belle View Shopping Center and has adequate parking. It also has a lobby, open 24/​7, for the retrieval of mail from post office boxes.

Can I make this no stars??? Mail I sent out was returned to me, yes it had the right postage. Yes the post office goofed up. Yes I tried the web site. It was if no use. Yes I called on the phone, omg what a Kludge that was. I hate with the passion of a thousand suns voice mail systems that are an endless loop. I will end up having to take off work to go to the post office to explain and to have them mail again… And get a late fee for the bill. Arg!!!

Like I’ve said in other reviews of Post Offices, they are the cheapest option so I can’t resist. I always regret it when I’m waiting in a really long line that moves super slow. Always too many steps for each retail person (who looks like they are the most miserable people on the planet) as they measure boxes with measuring tape, ask a bunch of uneccesary questions, etc. This location is even worse, I waited once over an hour. Granted it was during lunch time but they had one person working there. At one point he even went in the back for a while and no one was there. Absurd.

Not the biggest and not the best looking but that doesn’t seem to slow anything down. I’ve been here twice and haven’t had any problems. The staff is slightly more friendly than the typical USPS employee and they have all the usual postal goodies for you to buy.
I think the reason I like it the most is because it feels like a small town Post Office but the one thing I don’t like are the hours (though that’s just typical USPS hours).

Need to quickly mail some items on your lunch hour? Need a PO Box to receive your *special* packages? Need to update your passport?
I go to this post office about once a week and I have never waited in line for longer than three minutes. Super friendly and efficient is what they are here.
The extra large, free parking-​lot, with tons of spaces, ensures that this errand will be speedy from start to finish.
