Very grateful that this location remained open on January 22, 2016 as a blizzard was rolling in and not all of the Comcast locations were open.
I had sort of a complicated transaction to make, but the service person, Bryan, was very helpful and patient and kind, which was also much appreciated.

Absolutely appalled at comcasts customer service. Their company is absolutely despicable. Not one person takes responsibility for their mistakes and not one person is able to fix their mistakes. I have dealt with this company for 5 hours today where I was told my internet was down because I needed a new router. Went and got the new router. Installed it. And still no internet. After 2 hours on the phone they were able to do absolutely nothing. However we have dealt with no internet at least once or twice a month and all the company has had to do is hit the router reset button on their end. This time though they magically need someone else to come out and fix it. Now we will need to go two weeks without internet because of this terrible company. If you have the opportunity, DO NOT sign up with this company. You will get nothing but headaches and poor customer service and Internet in return. This is hands down the worst worst company I have ever had to deal with.

Spent two hours on phone today with Comcast reps. They agreed they owe me refund. Finally. So, they then transferred me to another line. Another wait. Very nice rep answers. Oh. Sorry. She’s not authorized to issue me a refund. Did not know why first rep would transfer me to her.

Totally awful. You can’t call the store, to ask them a question. You can only get the Comcast 1800 #, sit through 50 prompts and still not get to the store. Had to drive to the store. Worst customer service in the world. I don’t know why someone doesn’t start some class action lawsuit over this company. My service doesn’t work half the time and there is nothing I can do about it.

The worst cable company I have ever dealt with. Get anything else but them, except that probably isn’t an option.

I’m currently on hold with comcast, 3^rd time transferred to a different person to do something as simple as disconnect service at one address and reconnect at new address (in same cit.) I wouldn’t use Comcast at all except that, as a citizen of Alexandria VA, I have no choice. This company is so bad it’s embarrassing, but they’re not embarrassed; they’re brazen. They know we have no choice in the matter. I really think the citizens of Alexandria should organize and agree to cut service on the same day. What if the whole city disconnected simultaneously? They’d probably still suck. And the city government? In regard to this issue? WTF? Sick of it.

Nothing to add to the Comcast sucks chorus. What I’d like to know is why there are no other options? Who did they pay off in the city gov to keep out the competition? Why are we not rising up and demanding a choice? I actually moved out of the country to escape their clutches, but will be back eventually. I’d love for this silliness to be over by then.

Why are some of my favorite cable channels being moved from basic to digital?
The City has received several subscriber complaints about the migration of channels from the basic tier to the digital only tier. Unfortunately, local franchise authorities, (i.e., cities), are prohibited by federal law from dictating programming and channel lineups to cable companies. The issue of cable companies moving channels to higher numbers is being reviewed by the Federal Communications Commission.
Is the City able to keep Comcast from increasing the cost of cable television?
Federal law allows local franchise authorities to regulate the price of limited basic services only. The portion local franchise can regulate are based on a FCC formula. Unfortunately, the cost and tiers of service are not under the control of the local franchise authorities.

Nothing really needs to be said here; it’s Comcast, so you know you’re dealing with the worst of the worst. Took several tries to get my cable card working on a Tivo device. Had to return to the store and replace it — keep in mind they just recycle old, used cable cards so ask for a one that at least looks new. Nobody there has any idea what’s going on or how their services work. Had to escalate to corporate to get a cable card firmware update so my Tivo could use all 6 tuners. Terrible HD TV selection, satellite has several more HD offerings, which is embarrassing considering Comcast could easily provide more. I will give them some credit for general Internet stability, which is a recent phenomenon, but is shadowed by their terrible net neutrality practices. You’ll always get full bitrate from their speedtest site but never reach anywhere near your advertised speeds for any site you actually use on a daily basis. Overall, Comcast represents everything wrong with the world and it sickens me that there are no other choices for Internet in Alexandria.

Update is that I returned my brother’s cable box to the Pickett Street location I asked if I needed a receipt, and was told that I did not. Lo and behold, they then told my brother that he needed to pay for the box that was «never returned.» They are either incredibly incompetent, or lying thieves. Good to know that they are at least consistent in their level of compete suckiness, from repair guys to customer service at their branch offices.

Grateful for ample parking! No line during the lunch hour… well, 1:30p, so a little after the usual lunch hour. The service rep who helped me was very pleasant.
Not much else to say except that it took me all of about 5 minutes… then again, I was just switching modems so my needs were not too complicated.

Unfortunately, one must pick at least one star. Our «promotion» expired and now we are left paying $ 82 /​mo for basic internet service. We pay for my Mom’s internet service in a rural area and hers is only $ 40/​mo.
No changes to service, but now an increase of 26%… What happened to the capital market and product choice? I really wish we could get another provider, but this is all we have.
Cannot wait to switch…

The most unprofessional place on earth. I’d rather stab my eyes out inside of a DMV office than come here. Had to endure Yolanda scolding Darnell about smoking his hookah /​crack pipe at work.

Random outages… not showing up for scheduled appointments… overall incompetence. By far the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Xfinity truly sucks. Technology nice in theory but it fails far too often. Their service is an advertisement for DirecTV. Lord, I wish Uverse sevuce was available here.

Comcast is by far the WORST company I have ever had to deal with and if I had another option for cable I would drop them in a heartbeat.
Wrong address, can’t login to my account online, wrong phone number linked to account, faulty equipment… the list goes on and on. I have had it with this company!

I have now had Comcast for 2 yrs.
The customer service phone people and internet chat people continue to be infuriating. The service is very overpriced. I was paying as much for Comcast as for health insurance! I just downgraded to internet only, and plan to try life with a digital antenna coupled with my Roku player for streaming — cable TV just isn’t a high priority especially at those prices.
In moving to a new home, I did have a very positive experience with the installer in Arlington, VA. He showed up when promised and seemed reasonably competent at his job as well as positive and pleasant.
I went to the Wilson Blvd location to return a cable box. It wasn’t overly slow, and the guy who waited on me seemed efficient and somewhat personal.
Bottom line: Comcast needs to lower their prices and get domestically based and well trained customer service people for phone and chat window, and my assessment of them will increase.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. There are 22 customers in line and only 2 people working here. Not much more I can say. Hellacious experience.

They provide the worst customer service I have ever seen.
I called with a very simple problem with my cable box (screen size was wrong). I knew there was a simple fix. I was brought through a list of potential issues and was eventually told that my problem was due to an outage in my area.
I explained that I was sure this was a simple settings issue with the cable box.
I was then offered multiple packages.
I hung up and conducted about 15 minutes of online reserach to fix the problem.
It’s just the same thing every time with Comcast. I cringe when I know I have to call. Will I get the one competent person?

I wish I could give Comcast the rating of a picture of an enraged man vomiting on a pile of sun-​ripened turds, because that is precisely the rating this company deserves. I’ll never go back to Comcast because upon cancelling my account, I found out that I was due a back-​payment of $ 245 for overpaid billing. At some point during my account’s active status, Comcast sent two paper billing statements for one pay-​period, which I mistakenly paid. Okay, yeah… that mistake is on me. But upon finding this out at the point I closed my account, I requested that Comcast send a check to my new address and figured that matters would be resolved. Would this happen? NOOOoooo!
After waiting a month for the money, I called in to their customer service. A representative stated that the money had been turned credited to my account –which had been cancelled. They then acknowledged that they had gone against my wishes to have a check forwarded to my new address. After waiting another 45 minutes, during which I was forwarded three times to a series of clueless representatives who asked for my information each time, Comcast came to the conclusion that they would have to look into where the money had gone. It isn’t in my bank account. It has not been credited to my defunct account. They don’t know where my refund money is. NICE!
Further, I found that my e-​mail address and phone number were now associated with another account on the eastern shore of Maryland. This was some mystifying shit.
If you have to deal with this company at all, expect it to be painful, inconvenient, and time-​consuming. Additionally, their attempts at resolution will only come in the form of a chain of ceaseless fuck-​ups.
If it came down to choosing between cable/​internet or living in a cave, I would chose the cave any day of the week.

Comcast is my only option for internet outside of paying $ 100+ per month for a Verizon 4G hotspot. They literally have a monopoly on the system. There’s no other way to cut it.
Here’s what happened to me:
— Bought a regular internet package (around 25mbps)
— Internet speed never reached over 5mbps
— Contacted Comcast to see what the problem was
— Was coaxed into upgrading to 50mbps
— Internet speed did not change
— Contacted Comcast and demanded they send a technician
— Technician came and said the problem was my apartment unit wasn’t activated for high speed.
— They went down to the main terminal and «turned it on»
— Speed increased to 20mbps but still not 50
— Contacted Comcast to alert them that my speeds are still not what they should be
— Nothing happened
— Speed continually decreased
— Every time I call Comcast now they disconnect the call while I’m on hold
Today I stand here with less than 1mbps of internet speed (
). I have no other options. I depend on the internet for my job and Comcast has caused me to seriously rethink living in this area.
Please do not ever do business with Comcast unless you are absolutely forced to like I am.
