Description

Specialties

I’ve founded Fleurelity to offer a unique and affordable floral concierge service, so that you can have an expert who guides you as you are trying to figure out the perfect flowers to send to your home or your special someone.

I specialize in making fresh flower arrangements where each design is customized, unique and personally delivered to the door. I do my best to reflect a client’s personality and the moment in her or his life. I carefully consider specific requests and desires to be able to create a perfect flower arrangement. I am here for any occasion you wish to celebrate (birthday, anniversary, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Teacher’s Day, musical and ballet recitals,…) including holiday celebrations and home parties you give or attend.

History

Established in 2014.

While learning from those who have years and years of experience in floral design and still working on improving my knowledge about flowers and skills in floral design, I have been given wonderful opportunities to contribute and help with flower arrangements at various occasions.

There are a few occasions, which stand out and I will always be grateful to have been a part of. I was a member of the volunteer staff at the Hillwood Museum and Gardens in Washington, D.C. for almost 6 months in 2009 and it was there that I had my first opportunities to arrange flowers for others. This past October, I worked with Urban Petals Floral Design studio at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to decorate the Center for the Mark Twain Prize Award dinner. Finally, this past November, I had the wonderful opportunity to help Helen Olivia studio from Old Town decorate Vice President Joe Biden’s home for Christmas.

Michaela G.

Business Owner

I was born and raised in Prague, and lived in Brussels for most of my professional career as a policy officer at the European Commission. It was there that I started to explore floral design. Working with fresh flowers and making flower arrangements was my creative escape from my desk job. In November 2008, I crossed the Atlantic and moved to Alexandria with my husband.
