Best bar food ever! The food truck tacos are a must! Hidden gem in Algonquin. We weren’t sure if we should seat ourselves and it took a few minutes to get a server but no biggie!

Came here to celebrate my birthday last week. Service was great, can’t remember her name but she treated us very well. Only complaint is the men’s bathroom, very awkward set up.

A little pricey for what it was. Food was good, but $ 12 dollar for a burger that was just good. Place was nice and clean. Overall decent place.

I’ve never even seen this place but I heard Ryan Giles is a chef there and he likes the Bills and because I love Tyrod Taylor I gave it 5 stars. Great food.

Not the best place. Servers aren’t trained very well, owner tends to be a jerk while you’re spending money in his restaurant. Will not go back, I don’t understand why they refuse to appreciate their clientele. Hopefully we’ll get a new bar in iron horse place.

Great food and great service! Every time my family and I go they take good care of us. I loved the mini burgers, flatbreads, and wedge salad. Also have nice TVs so you can watch the game too. Very family friendly as well.

Came for a few cocktails and maybe food. Ended up having one beer and leaving. Smelled like a backed up grease trap being covered by cranberry scented candles. Will not be back

Just walked in here to grab a few beers and a bite to eat The overwhelming smell of sewer that hits you as you walk in is beyond belief Mentioned it to the bartender and she«acted» unaware — although all the scented candles burning around the bar kinda blew her cover This place smells of something wrong(pun intended) Been here a dozen or so times in the past few months and have noticed a severe downturn in atmosphere and cleanliness — I will not be returning

I’ve visited this place multiple times and I feel like it’s starting to go downhill. My first visit I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food is, specially for being a bar. But each time i’ve been back it’s been getting more disappointing. It has also been a hit or miss with service. The last time we had to ask twice to see a food menu. They also got rid of their beer list so there is no way to know exactly everything they have. I’m a huge fan of craft beers and like to try something new every time I go somewhere but since I didn’t have a menu to figure out what I haven’t had yet, I decided to just stick with water. After my last experience with the service and the food not being as good, I’m not sure if i’d go back or I would not go out of my way to visit.

For a bar they have an interesting menu. Out of stock in some good beers. Service can be spotty.

Went to the Iron Horse several weeks ago to check it out and have a beer. After finishing my first glass, I was asked if I would like another beer. I did. The bartender refilling my glass touched my dirty glass to the beer faucet. I informed her that I would prefer her to use a fresh glass and to not touch the glass to the tap. She told me she has worked bar tending for 15 years and no one has ever said anything… I asked to speak to the manager then. The poor guy seemed in over his head… very«deer-in-the-headlights». I left and don’t intend to return. You might enjoy the place if you want to catch the local seasonal cold or better yet even more nasty bacterial, fungal, or viral strains that enjoy damp calorie laden environments. I can’t offer any other insight to this bar/restaurant.

This bar has a smell that hits you like a ton of bricks when you walk in. It smells almost like sewer gas and it’s pretty overwhelming. I wasn’t able to stay as long as I would any other place and I was worried to try the food. The one time I was in there there were about 3 other patrons and a family with 2 young children which kind of threw me off considering the atmosphere is very much a bar and not so much a restaraunt(there are maybe 7 – 10 tables to sit at besides the bar) It’s a shame because the interior is very cute and it’s close to home. I hope they find the source of that smell and fix it.

Burger was great! Fries reminded me of gene and judes!!! Friends had buffalo chicken and flatbread that they said were phenomenal! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Saw another customer leaving but their battery was dead and Mike the owner found jumper cables and got them going! Great guy! Funny, and fun to meet! Had a great time!

A welcome addition to the neighborhood! Stopped in to give it a try and glad we did. Friendly staff and delicious food. We had the sausage platter and corn tortilla tostadas. Both were fresh and flavorful. Nice select and vibe. We will be back.

Was told by a friend that we needed to check this place out with the new owners and new menu. It has been a couple of different bars over the years and none that was anything worth going back to. Boy were we happily surprised! First of the bartender was great, Chelsey was knowledgeable about the better and the menu, made great suggestions and was so friendly! We ordered 3 starters(pretzels & Dijon mustard, bacon wrapped dates & charcuterie & cheese plate) and LOVED each one. Really loved them! We had this with the Vanilla Bitch Slap beer on tap which was fantastic. We can’t wait to go back. This will definitely be a regular stop for us.

I’m really mad at myself for not complaining about the fries with our sandwiches. They must have been made way in advance & were just barely warm. For a place that has such a creative menu, you’d think they’d take a little care. I give them cred for the poutine. The pork was piping hot making up for the cold fries that it was slathered over. It was little salty, but we had no problem polishing it off. It’s an appetizer but it was enough for the three of us. Probably two people could make a meal of it. Waitress was very nice.

Tonight I came into Iron Horse for my first time. I had the Ancho BBQ flatbread which I very much enjoyed! However, while eating my dinner one of the bartenders, which I soon found out was a co-manager named Mike, was loudly talking down to a server. I noticed I was not the only customer who took attention to this. The second bartender also saw this as disruptive and quietly told Mike to discuss the situation another time; but he continued to talk down to the server. The food is great and the staff is very nice but the co-manager was very unprofessional.

Had lunch here today and tried the Smoked tomato bisque. It is AWESOME and I don’t even like tomato soup! Also had the Iron Horse burger and the bbq sauce is really tasty.
