Jiffy Lube

Ive been a customer here on and off for 5 yrs. The prices go up very consistently with no extra value. After an $ 85 oil change today, i went across the street to auto zone and bought new air filters.
I declined the air filter service at jiffy but asked if they would shake out the leafs before reinstalling.
When i got home and pulled the old cabin filter out it was still full of leafs and dirt. Very poor customer service, very high prices… wont EVER go back. Its absolutely insane a service business reinstalled it like this.

Will no longer be going to Jiffy Lube for my car’s oil change. Went today and left disappointed! Pulled up and was greeted by an employee and when I asked him how his day was he responds «terrible.» Great first impression. I was then informed they no longer have the signature oil change. Their oil change packages now start at $ 38.99. I can go to Firestone right next door and get 2 for that price!

I have no problem stopping here for a quick oil change, however the additional upgrades are to say the least extremely high! When I called the auto parts store across the street for my cost on the cabin and engine air filters and total I was under 20.00, but jiffy lube wants 39 each, I say no way. That annoying sales pitch by way over marking up parts which you pull to show a customer should stop. Glad my wife isn’t here!!! Back to firestone I go. They’re reasonable

I usually take our car & truck to this Jiffy Lube. Are they pricey? Yes. Do they provide a quick service with prompt and courteous customer service? — Yes. So, really what it comes down to is «are you willing to pay a bit more for quick and courteous service.» I am. They do try to up-​sell you on their product offering but simple No, No, No… to their questions moves the process along. I know the up-​selling bothers some people, but its a part of their business and I just deal with it. Always have a good experience when I go there. Plus if you ask them for $ 10 bucks off the oil change, they give it to you no questions asked. Basically, the equivalent to an early bird special for their regular oil change service.

If your looking for a pricey, average oil change, with a big mark up on extras you have found the place.

I get the oil changed here for my Subaru WRX, since it’s a little too inconvenient for me to drive out to the original dealership.
They do great work and are always friendly. Plus, there is a car wash connected, and you get a discount there after getting service at Jiffy Lube.
The upsells are annoying — I don’t need my differential fluid changed, thanks. (I stick to the maintenance schedule provided with my vehicle.) However, they’re just doing their job. Just say no.
Other than that, this is a pleasurable place to go, and they are very fast, too.

Walked in and immediately felt uncomfortable. More like I was interrupting their break time. That said, got my oil changed, after my 5 minute lecture from the employee on the list of «manufacture suggested maintenance» was due. I won’t comment on that other than someone is making money on the suggested maintenance. Think about it. Picked up my car, drove home to find the TPS go off, checked the tire pressure and one was low, that would be the one with the cap off. Yea for my $$$$ I won’t return, bad attitudes and crappy service don’t work well with me.

I don’t know, maybe I’m not discerning enough when it comes to these kinds of places, but I’ve never had a bad experience here. In fact, the staff is very friendly, and they work reasonably quickly given how busy they often are. When you arrive, they walk you inside and actually hold the door for you, rather than just pointing toward the waiting area, like most places do.
Inside, you have about as nice of a waiting area as you can ask for. It’s big and clean, which is rare in the oil change business.
As for the service, I’ve always found it to be just fine. I’ve never had issues with any of the work that they have done, and as for those who complain about «upselling,» find me an oil change place that doesn’t suggest a thing or two when you take your car in. It’s part of a multi point inspection, they are likely to find things that need attention. And I’d rather know than not have them say anything, and find bigger problems in my car down the road. If you can’t handle having someone suggest things, learn to do this stuff yourself.

Went here for an oil change today. They noticed that a bolt under the oil pan was leaking and put a new one on. They didn’t try to upsell anything to me, they just showed me what normal procedures should be done. I was done in about 20 mins.
Will go back.

I am tied of the up sell pressure especially if your car has over 75k. Reading on the internet, if you change your oil every 300‑3500 miles, you do not need high mileage oil. Also they have a banner that states a 24.99 old change. when you go to pay, they try to charge you $ 44.00. Its not until you tell them. Once you tell them they make the change, but try to make you feel bad.

The «new» management at this location has a mission to up-​sell. It’s okay to offer a better product, it’s is normal and everyday occurrence but these guys are pushing it. They claimed that we had premium oil changes at their store before (synthetic) and assumed that we wanted it again because it’s what the computer said.
Not so, we’ve never had the synthetic oil change on the car and they refused to show us the computer history showing that we’d had it previously. We would have remembered shelling out $ 80 or $ 90!
The new manager said he was brought in to help improve the numbers. Just follow the sales process; the numbers will come.

My last visit for an oil change was fast yes… but it left me stranded an hour away from my house with a 4 month old baby. They didn’t hook up two important hoses back to the engine when they took out my air filter and I stalled out. Had to get it to a mechanic who said he sees this all the time with 10 minute oil change places. The time before this I had an oil leak all over the garage and took it back in. Turned out they forgot to put the oil pan back in. I wouldn’t go back here.

Since I’ve gotten old enough to never want to change my own oil again, I’ve been goin’ here. Not one complaint. Fast (really fast), efficient service.
They do upsell services, go in for an oil change and they will always come to you in the waiting room with other things you may need, but it’s usually something that really does need to get done. I decide on a case-​by-​case basis if I want that service at that time. I think it’s handy that they check things that I forget to keep on top of.
However, I can see how someone unfamiliar with automotive service might be (slightly) pressured into services that aren’t absolutely necessary at the moment.
Pleasant waiting room (which you won’t be spending much time in anyway), happy mechanics, cashiers usually business-​like rather than chummy, but that’s fine, you’re just payin’ the bill.
I’ve worked at an auto shop before and I know from experience, ANY place can make mistakes (Oh, I might have made a few of my own from time to time). From my experience, Jiffy Lube is as safe and professional as any other shop. I would not use them if I felt in any way that their service or professionalism was sub-​par.
One complaint: New owners, I’m told, purged older customer/​car data. So years of maintainence records — gone. Were your computers running out of space or something? I’d like to know when I last had a particular service done without having to dig up my receipt from years ago. I can’t imagine a good reason to throw out customer service records.
