Great service and wonderful mechanics! I came in for an oil change and they helped me right away, I brought my own oil and they charged me only 20 $ I only waited for about 7 – 10 minutes and I was on my way! I will definitely be back for more service.

Wow! I love Andys auto service ! They’re completely honest, diligent, and passionate about what they do! I recommend Bruno to work on your car, because he is absolutely great! he’s an exceptional mechanic! Great customer service!

My previous mechanic retired about a decade ago and I scrambled to find someone I could trust. Important as I like troublesome cars. I tried a few places until a cousin recommended Andy. I can’t express enough how fantastic my experience has been with Andy servicing my cars, an old Pininfarina Spider and a 20 year old Land Cruiser with 260,000 miles.
He’s honest, reliable, affordable and incredibly courteous. I would recommend anyone in the SGV seek out his shop for any job large or small.
His latest miracle was finding another shop to rebuild the transmission on my Land Cruiser for a fraction of the price of the usual suspects.
He’s a gem. I only wish there were more than five stars for this review.

An honest, diligent mechanic? Yup, they exist. Andy is perhaps the most patient car guy I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He really cares about what he does, even if it comes to dealing with an old beater with endless problems (R.I.P. Dirt McGirt). Andy educates the clueless and gives you the straight story, no up-​selling, no nonsense.
He’d get a 4.5 from me: 5 for customer service, 4 for check/​cash only.

Andy is not only a brilliant mechanic, he is a wonderful human. Many times he has fixed a flat and said my smile was his payment. He will even stop his work to see how you are personally doing. A form of humanity that has been lost in commerce.
I have been working on cars since I took an auto-​mechanics in high school 30 years ago. This man is a magician and poet with fixing cars. He is insanely affordable on his pricing. I cannot recommend this shop enough. You are foolish to go elsewhere.
There are some things in life that will keep you from moving… finding a great doctor, dentist, hair-​cutter, and mechanic. Andy’s Auto is that mechanic.

SO HONEST. and for a gal who doesn’t have a CLUE about cars and gets taken advantage of frequently by all these «deals» on how to fix my car, I’m only going to take my car to Andy’s Auto Service from now on!
Seriously, I went to another auto place and got my engine something something and something because… I don’t know. I just said «yes» when they offered it! WASTE. OF. MONEY.
And then I went to Andy’s… oh my! SO Honest! In a world of cars where I have NO clue what’s going on, Andy just takes care of me.
He is kind, considerate, and he’s just a GOOD human being. In a world of shady people, or people in occupations who are just trying to make money, when you find one who just has a big heart and wants to give you kindness and light, then you’ve found a good one. He’s not trying to wiggle his way in your wallet. He’s trying to HELP YOU. He wants to assess the situation, and make it better.
I was waiting for my car as it got services, and I saw him interact and help this lady out with a flat tire. What seemed, to the average people who doesn’t have much knowledge about cars, to be a big flat tire that would need replacing, to Andy it was remedied quickly– and I overheard him charge close to nothing for fixing that flat.
Another time while servicing my car there, an oil change, I heard him help someone whose battery needed replacing. Andy used soda to remedy the situation, and when the person asked what the fee was, Andy said $ 1, for the soda! hahaha.
Now tell me where you can find an honest, caring, genuine kind of man who just wants to help remedy your problems?
He doesn’t take credit. I think he only takes cash and checks. And he’s also been working on cars since the 70’s.
I would recommend Andy to everyone. I would give him 7 stars if I could.

Andy’s Auto is run by Andy, whom I’ve been taking my Honda to for the last three years. I used to swear by Berkeley Minicar for honest, reasonable work, but ever since I was referred to Andy’s by a work colleague, I’ve never once thought about making the trek to the Bay Area for auto work again.
Andy doesn’t service vehicles that are very new and primarily electronic, but if you have an older car, he’s great about telling you what needs to be replaced, when parts are good for another six months, and is really reasonable about fitting into my schedule.
He’s a cash and check only guy, so no plastic, and not the cheapest out there, but you won’t end up paying for something that didn’t need to be replaced.
